Obama met privately with the families of those killed before he publicly pays respect at a memorial service to be watched by American troops around the world. He and first lady Michelle Obama will also visit wounded troops in the hospital before returning to Washington.
Glad he met privately. The photo ops make me want to puke. I was watching McCain pose with people and just turned it off.

They are seeing our military as we truly are. Brothers, Sisters, Wives, Sons, Daughters and the civilian community, as one.
This is the military not many get to see.
I am really torn over watching this Fox coverage. On the one hand, in a remote way, I’d like to join in honoring the fallen and our troops, generally.
On the other hand, why is it newsworthy that Obama’s speech will be about THEM? I understand it’s a first that he’s giving a speech that’s not about HIM. But the coverage is sickening, as if the families and troops are just blessed to have him in their company.
I will continue to watch it, but maybe just mute.
