The first time I looked at that Wikipedia article, it had November 10, 2009 as his deceased date.
The second time I looked at it, the deceased date was gone.

Somehow I missed the fact that Muhammad was born in New Orleans. Betcha he drew some inspiration from the New Years 1973 shootings by Mark Essex.
The black Muslim and Black Panther stuff is thoroughly intertwined; Essex met with BP members before his bloody rampage (though of course the Black Panthers claim he was never part of their organization).
I'll be toasting John's demise this evening with my best bourbon.
