1) Takers Vs. Producers
-
This condition is far worse than most people want to realize.
If you consider all the people who have a vested interest
in higher taxes and ‘more government’, you have to include:
-those who are very poor and pay no taxes;
-those who live off of or depend upon social security;
-politicians at the federal, state, and local level;
-government workers at the federal, state, and local level;
-academic types and artists who rely on government grant money;
-businesses that survive off of government contracts; and
-all the other funds and projects handed out as political favors...
It is past time for a tax rebellion.
*No representation without taxation.*

Get this great book, “ The Collapse of Complex Societies”. In it the author states that no political system on record has ever reduced taxes. That with out exception the working class/small businessmen went Gualt/underground or quit producing. That a large state paid mob of underclass was created and fought over for popular support by politicians, and that a rich, cynical upper class aligned with government.

In Grant’s book, The Fall of the Roman Empire, free, but impoverished Romans presenting them and their families to wealthy Roman Senators, as serfs. Surrendering their freeman status for food and shelter. Each year we see a little more surrender to the welfare state and it’s contractors. First blacks, now poor whites. Cops, teachers, firemen become the Praetorian of the welfare state.

I’m not optimistic. I believe history teaches, and there are fundamental human laws.

In my county the biggest single employer in the county is the government schools! And..Attached to all that school money are the business that service the schools and their employees.

Even my dentist ( of all people) and his 5 employees depend on the government school dental insurance that is brought into the dental office!

So....When government takes over larger and larger percentages of the GDP, there are more and more votes even within the private business community to feed the tax eating beast.

In your list you forgot single mothers by *choice* (divorced or never married). These women almost never pay any taxes and their numbers are huge and cross all racial lines. Any one (man or woman) who has a child whether by choice or
“accident” and chooses to raise that child should be expected to pay the real costs involved. Single mothers (whether on welfare or not) get a shocking array of tax breaks and other entitlements even as women keep insisting on being treated equally with men.

With the draconian gummint child support laws in place in this country nearly all of these women *are* getting child support in addition to their gummint benefits. One example is FREE gummint representation in court regardless of a woman’s economic status when disputing child support issues (Title IV-D of the Social Security program). To get their child support guaranteed to them via gummint CSA’s and also earn viable incomes is tantamount to Double Dipping. When you add in the fact these women pay NO taxes it is Triple Dipping and the number of women who enjoy these perks is enormous.
