To: Repeal The 17th
-businesses that survive off of government contracts; and
-all the other funds and projects handed out as political favors...

In my county the biggest single employer in the county is the government schools! And..Attached to all that school money are the business that service the schools and their employees.

Even my dentist ( of all people) and his 5 employees depend on the government school dental insurance that is brought into the dental office!

So....When government takes over larger and larger percentages of the GDP, there are more and more votes even within the private business community to feed the tax eating beast.

My rep Mike Simpson (eastern Idaho) is a dentist. He eagerly supported the SCHIP bill because it meant business for him as a dentist. The politicians are voting themselves future largess. The bottom 50% are happy to lay more burden on the upper 50% paying the bills. The producers are being out voted by the consumers of government largess. The predators (consumers) had best be careful. When the prey (producers) are too few in number, the predators will starve.
