Muslim 'Sheik' chains himself to court
Daily Telegraph (Sydney) ^ | 10th November 2009 | Lisa Davies

A SELF-STYLED Muslim Sheik has chained himself to the steps of a Sydney courthouse in a bid to convey his message of peace.

Sheik Haron appeared at the Downing Centre Local Court today charged with sending harassing letters to the families of dead Australian soldiers.

As the Daily Telegraph revealed last month, Sheik Haron - whose real name is Man Monis - allegedly sent the letters over two years, devastating the families of seven Diggers who died in Afghanistan.

One letter was addressed to a widow, care of a funeral home and he apparently accused some of the dead Australian soldiers of being "criminals", "killers" and "murderers" fighting a war of invasion.

This is apparently a Muslim message of peace.

I think they should cut the chain with explosives.

he apparently accused some of the dead Australian soldiers of ... fighting a war of invasion.

There is of course the inconvenient fact that the US and its Ozzian allies did indeed invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

Because, of course, we wanted to steal all the Afghans' stuff.

I suggest building a fence around him and leaving him there without sustenance till he voluntarily decides to come away.

>> I think they should cut the chain with explosives.

That would be good.

If they’re squeamish about that, just cut off whatever body part he has the chain attached to. I hear those pedophile worshippers are fond of that sort of thing, so he’ll feel right at home.

Can’t they, like, raise their *own* goats in Australia?

And beyond that, what is there to steal?

There is of course the inconvenient fact that the US and its Ozzian allies did indeed invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

That's where the enemy was.

On Afghanistan in particular, if coming to the defence of one of our closest allies when innocent civilians on its own soul are murdered, means invasion - I'm all for invasion.

On Iraq - it was simply finishing the job people like myself were forced to leave unfinished in 1991. The invasion of Iraq was a belated reponse to the invasion of Kuwait.

I don’t disagree that both invasions were fully justified.

The article seems to imply that calling them invasions is mean. Whereas it’s just a statement of fact.

Even the British, who colonized some of the most forsaken land on the planet, couldn’t bring themselves to actually stay in Afghanistan.

Of course, this was largely due to the remarkably unfriendly natives.

I’ve read British soldiers’ diaries from various Afghan wars in the 19th and early 20th centuries. With the exception of today’s PCness and IEDs they aren’t much different from what today’s western troops face.

I can't stand to see him suffer like this.

Turn away, everyone...

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Here’s a different idea. Support his demonstration! Chain him with another chain and lock to the courthouse steps and then leave. He has the key to one chain and lock but not the other. After a couple of days, offer him pork sausage and salt water.
