"The Insider" breaks news that Levi Johnston is going to file for joint custody of Tripp, his son with Bristol Palin.

Levi told "The Insider" he is now going to take legal action because he had trouble when trying to see his infant son over the weekend. "At the end of the month I'm going to file for joint custody of Tripp."

And just why did Levi feel like he had to alert the media? Doesn’t bode well for his child, if Levi wants to use the child as a media magnet.

Not gainfully employed, without a high-school diploma and with his mother in prison, he has a better chance of winning the NFL MVP, than he does of winning joint custody. He'll certainly, however, get a formalized visitation schedule, but that will come at the expense of a formalized child-support schedule. I'm guessing, he's not going to file for squat.

I should think that the Palin's would petition for a special increase in child support, so that they can hire security to watch after this child, insofar as Johnson has made it such public figure that it might be endangered.

Say, quadruple the normal child support, and when he doesn't pay it, deny visitation/joint custody, and put his little butt in jail with his Mama.
