Health Officials in Ukraine say the death toll from a suspected swine flu outbreak has reached 144. Almost a million people are thought to be infected, mostly in the west of the country.

Over a hundred have died since the outbreak of the virus last week. But it's still unclear exactly what killed those Ukranians. Only some are confirmed as a result of AH1N1, the rest are blamed on respiratory diseases. Even so, talks over imposing a state of emergency in the country are surfacing from the highest levels. Should that happen, the upcoming presidential vote could be shifted from the middle of the next January to the end of May.

The article says that "only some" of the hundred or so are even blamed on h1n1...much less diagnosed positively.
So given that, how many of the "million infected" stat is meaningful?
And the population of Ukraine is about 50 million.
Starting out, they're talking about delaying a democratic election because less than 2% of the population suspects they have something in common with something about 0.000313% of the population.
That's what is shocking.

Also medical statistic often seem “special”.
Well let's just say that after what happened to their president, swine flu might be the least of their worries.
To me the interesting stat was of the million that are infected 144 have died. The usual mortality rate for the flu is .1%. So the deaths, at this point, are well within the bounds of “usual” in regards to a seasonal flu.
144 deaths of about a million cases? Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems that complications of the common cold probably kill that percentage of the infected.
The problem is, those who died, died from haemorrhagic pneumonia, not flu. That's why there is panic, the cause is haemorrhagic pneumonia is unknown! Swine flu is a smokescreen.
The most likely it is weaponized pneumonia agent created by U.S. company with local facilities in Ukraine.
The blueprint is now in the open:
1. Create relatively harmless Influenza A/H1N1 in the lab. Baxter filed for H1N1 patent in 2008, a year before Mexico epidemic. Patent was granted in March 2009. 2. Release A/H1N1 once patent is granted. 3. Create artifical need for a H1N1 vaccine. Hence the media frenzy. 4. Use H1N1 vaccine as a vehicle to deliver bioweapon
Baxter was caught red handed twice. In March 2009, Baxter sent vaccine containing live virus to 18 countries. Canadians caugt it and alerted the World. In August 2009, Baxter sent live virus in swine flu vaccine to Austria, Czech Rep. and Slovenia. Czechs caught it and alerted the World. This time, Baxter seems to rely on disseminating live virus from within the country to prevent an early detection.
