FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - Soldiers and others are attending church services at Fort Hood, Texas, and in neighboring Killeen to pray for the man authorities say went on a shooting spree and to honor the victims.
An Army chaplain exhorted worshippers to pray for meaning in the worst massacre on a military facility in the United States.
Col. Frank Jackson expressed frustration Sunday as members of the sprawling Army post "search for motive, search for meaning, search for something, someone to blame."
He urged the congregation to "focus on things we know."

ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; forward into battle see his banners go!
Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.
2. At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise; brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
(Refrain)
3. Like a mighty army moves the church of God; brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in charity. (Refrain)
4. Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
but the church of Jesus constant will remain. Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail; we have Christ's own promise, and that cannot fail. (Refrain)
5. Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng, blend with ours your voices in the triumph song. Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King, this through countless ages men and angels sing. (Refrain)

Saul of Tarsus became Paul. The same could be said of him. So, we are oblidged to pray for his conversion. But we’re not to be stupid about ‘why’ he’s done what he’s done or that there are others willing to do the same.

For those to believe that we should pray for our enemies, do you also pray for Satan and his demons ? because, Satan and his demons are our enemy.
Jesus told us to pray for our enemy, but, I do believe he gave us a brain to use our common sense to know when to pray for our enemy, and when to fight our enemy.

"No wonder the Christian religion is going down in smoke when all we hear is how Christians should be praying for killers even if they hate you."
Read this and ask yourself who won in this particular skirmish:
Pope John Paul II Gunman Would Like to Convert to Christianity
Fox News
Wednesday, May 13, 2009
Associated Press
ANKARA, Turkey The gunman who tried to assassinate Pope John Paul II would like to convert to Christianity at a baptism ceremony at the Vatican after his release from prison in January, according to his lawyer.
Over the years, Mehmet Ali Agca has made frequent claims that he is the Messiah or Jesus Christ, raising questions about his mental health and leading to speculation that he had converted to Christianity. "Agca is not formally a Christian," lawyer Haci Ali Ozhan told The Associated Press. "When he converts, he would like a baptism ceremony at the Vatican," Ozhan said, relaying comments Agca made during a recent prison meeting.
He declined to comment on Agca's mental state.
Agca shot and seriously wounded John Paul in St. Peter's Square 28 years ago, on May 13, 1981. The late pope met with Agca in an Italian prison in 1983 and forgave him.
Agca is currently serving a prison term for killing Turkish journalist Abdi Ipekci. The gunman is due to be released on Jan. 18, 2010.
At issue is whether prayer is a weakling's response or a supremely powerful weapon. I am not arguing against the use of other weapons in the war the West is in; far from it. But let's not neglect this one, or Jesus' commandment to love our enemies. Even as we battle them.

Since he survived, I hope his lawyers can't control him and that he shows himself as a "true believer" and expresses no remorse, and expresses pride in striking a blow for Islam. I want him to speak the truth, and then see how the media and the Muslim apologists try to spin that.

Amen.
Would these willfully deluded people have exhorted us to pray for Hitler, Goebbels, Himmler? We're supposed to oppose evil.

We can expect that after he fully recovers, and Obama grants him a pardon, he will be on THE VIEW and OPRAH shows trying to find his inner self with Oprah holding his hand and find that the real cause of why he did this, and find out that it was the oppressive WHITE MAN CAPITALISTIC society that he was forced to live in.... SARCASM !!!!!!!!!!!!

Six ‘american’ outlets, at least.
One cheering factor is he can’t plead ‘temporary’ insanity since he’s been writing and speaking about doing this for what, years?
In TX, that means Perry sticks the needle in you, with no alcohol swab this time. Maybe they can mix a little bacon grease in the syringe.
0 will defer to a TX prosecution so he doesn’t have to insult his fellow muslims by wanting the death penalty.

Agree. There are many more Hasans out there and Christians are being duped by social justice pastors to pray for them.
I prefer Old Testament justice!
From Steve Emerson's blog:
In the end, the mainstream media refuses to recognize that the "mainstream" Islamic groups are actually radical organizations that teach and imbue their followers with a hatred of the United States and Israel. These groups front as civil-rights groups, but in fact are radical Islamic groups whose constant message disseminated to the millions of Muslim followers is that the U.S. is an evil country engaged in a war against Islam. Once that message takes hold and after all, these groups control the mosques, the Islamic newspapers, the Islamic schools, and the Islamic leadership from which American Muslims and converts get their ideas about the world it is not a huge leap for some of them to become committed to violent jihad.
We are talking about a situation that is far more rampant than government leaders want to admit because the Islamic groups routinely throw the term "racist" at anyone who claims there is radicalism in the Muslim community. Two years ago, a poll was taken of American Muslims: 29 percent of young Muslims approved of suicide bombings. And those 29 percent are the ones that admitted their views. How many more would not tell the pollsters what they really thought?
The U.S. is becoming more like Europe, where homegrown Islamic terrorist plots get stopped (or sometimes succeed) nearly every week. It's because of the message that today's Islamic religious leadership hammers home: that the West is the enemy of Islam, that Christians and Jews are involved in a conspiracy to subjugate Islam. And so what is the logical result of these teachings? Many young Muslims hate the West. And of that number who hate the West, a certain smaller percentage like the Boyds are willing to take matters into their own hands and carry out jihad.

A suspect is someone who has not been connected to a crime just YET, until they can collect more evidence, a person of interest.
How can this terrorist be a " SUSPECT " when he was caught red headed doing the evil Islamic deed and taken down by 4 bullets of a civilian police officer ?
