McCaughey: Pelosi Bill’s Radical Agenda Revealed
Saturday, November 7, 2009 1:00 PM

The healthcare reform plan being pushed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Barack Obama and passed by the House on Saturday illustrates the Democrats’ radical agenda, says former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey.

In an op-ed article appearing Saturday on The Wall Street Journal’s Web site, McCaughey reveals shocking details of the 1,990-page bill.

Some of the more alarming aspects of the bill, according to McCaughey: .............

This whole thing ran in on a wire. The fight was over who would be permitted to vote no to cover their butts. There never was any doubt.

The AARP stands to make a fortune:

AARP: Reform advocate and insurance salesman

"..GOP lawmakers point to AARP's thriving business in marketing branded Medigap policies, which provide supplemental coverage for standard Medicare plans available to the elderly. Democratic proposals to slash reimbursements for another program, called Medicare Advantage, are widely expected to drive up demand for private Medigap policies like the ones offered by AARP, according to health-care experts, legislative aides and documents..."

ROFL - Now that is a good one. Even though, I’ll have to go repent while at Church in a bit.

It’s just the Democrat show vote tradition at work.
Don’t be stupid; this was going to happen from the day of last year’s election. Until some public excommunications start and the Catholic Church gets its balls to miraculously return, this is what you’ll get; the coscious decision to change mankind from a free man to a Metropolis style society of workers and elites, with the elites running life from conception to consumption.

This is nothing but a fairy tale, a folklore, a myth.

I prefer to call it what it really is-a flat out lie.

LS:
I’ve been following “Doctor/Doctor” all last night and this morning. There’s a list of Blue Dogs who voted NO, but I haven’t seen a list of the Lap Dogs who voted YES. I haven’t found a list of Yes’s anywhere.

We’ll know soon enough. But I’m anxious to know who the ones are who will be easiest to take down next year. Will we even have to spend money in their districts? Not much, I would think.

Amnesty is up next, perhaps slid in even ahead of cap and tax.

I fully expect McCain and Graham to be leading the charge across the aisle to get it passed.

Good - and sobering - points. I guess my husband and I wasted our time in calling and e-mailing these so-called “principled” Blue Dogs last week, thinking we actually had a chance to sway them...

We have far too many useless people in this country who are dependent on the government for everything, and they vote accordingly.

That's the heart of the problem. Back in the early days of the republic you had to be a property owner to vote. The theory was you had to have a stake in the outcome. Maybe that's too extreme but we should look at not allowing government workers or those on government assistance to vote. Yeah I know, never happen but the old adage that a republic survives only until people discover they can vote themselves goodies from the treasury was never demonstrated better than this travesty last night.

Yesterday we got a phone call from one our younger relatives, who is considering a new job offer.

He has a friend who is very successful with a current business has offered our younger relative a job in an industry that is the love of our younger relative.

He is currently employed and well treated/paid by a leader in another industry. They have full benefit coverage including outstanding health care benefits.

His new job will have no health benefits, he will get extra money/salary to pay for his health care. There is no way that the amount will cover the costs under Frau Pelosi’s fascist coverage.

This young man’s parents would fall under the ilk of so called conservative independents, who are more likely to blame Republicans when something like Pelosi Care gets rammed through. They voted for the change and are scared of what it really means. However, they still blame GW and republicans for what has happened to our economy.

I emailed this young man, Frau Pelosi’s plan yesterday and how she would mandate it to him if he trades jobs. Before this bill passed, he and his in denial parents refused to believe that Kind Hearted Frau Pelosi would require him to be insured and would fine him if he didn’t buy the mandated plan.

Yesterday, he refused to admit it, now post Frau Pelosi’s raping of middle class America, he believes that he will be in trouble if he doesn’t have the mandated insurance. So, he wants to have lunch to talk with us about what might happen to him if he changes jobs and maybe what will happen even if he doesn’t change.

Makes one wonder how many thousands or millions of young people are waking up re facing the brutality of Frau Pelosi’s mandated health plans.

Logically the “blue dog democrats” have no motivation to vote with the GOP. Eventhough they may be more conservative they face a threat within their own party and the less likely to get GOP crossover votes anyway.

-- I cannot find ANY administration for ANY period of time (save two brief "panics" or depressions) where government spending substantially fell or the power of government relatively didn't increase. So that's also a red herring. --

I agree with the part that the feds will grow. Pretty much doesn't matter which party has the reins, neither party will abide by the constitution. And both parties are adept at fooling the rubes.
