It may have been the first, small clue that an apparently ordinary week at the world's largest army base was about to become something horrifically different, when neighbours saw Major Nidal Hasan escorting a visitor into his flat.
Other residents at the Casa del Norte apartment complex were surprised to see the mild-mannered army officer accompanied by another man in Islamic dress.
Alice Thompson, 53, who manages the two storey block of simple dwellings with her husband John, told The Sunday Telegraph: "It was very unusual because he had never had anyone round before. His visitor had long black hair and a moustache and a dark complexion. He stayed about five minutes and then left. We'd never seen him before."

That never seen before visitor, along with the early purchase of the FN 5.7, would seem to convert this from a case of "sudden Jihad syndrome" by a lone Muslim, to a terrorist conspiracy. Not for certain yet, but it's heading that way.
Maybe, but the ammo and magazines could be ordered online. From any number of sources. Sportsman's Guide (ammo) or DM Firearms (magazines), just for example.
And EVERY description of him is calm cool collected. Lots of premeditation ( giving stuff away, saying good bye, emptying his apartment). This all paints the picture of a cold premeditated murderer. Not some stressed out guy who cracked. It all points where the MSM doesn’t want to go, to a premeditated Jihadi homicide mission.

Excellent article ~ thanks for posting it.
I do hope Sgt. Munley doesn’t spend life in a wheelchair. She made a huge sacrifice already and could have been killed and she has a young daughter....
Of course you need a link or to admit it is your deduction or conjecture.
All that you said is correct as to who answers to whom in the US government, what you need a link for is that the Army wanted to do anything with the major other than ignor his bad behavior. You also need a link to show that the Obama administration knew they Army wanted to do anything to this guy.
Now if you had said the Obama administration would have proetected the major if they knew the army wanted to do something to him or if said the army did not act against the major for fear of offending their weak PC bosses, I might view that as interesting specutlation. But when you say something is factual, you need a link.

Who was Hasan’s visitor...

Amazing ... it seems the real journalists have all fled the country to write in foreign papers.
I saw a story that said a few of the victims were still in threatened condition
The gun was apparently bought “legally”, at least legal on part of the seller.
The pregnant woman was in recieving, coming back to the US and was there apparently filling out paperwork about her pregnancy. Something like that.
Individual in question, Spc Velez, was *returning* from an overseas deployment, and had only been in the country two days prior to her death. The center processes people both coming, and going...

I read on the first day of this story that the gun was bought from a regular gun shop, but it was not bought by Hasan or anybody of that name. The dealer was not permitted to reveal the name, of course, but did tell the reporter that somebody other than Hasan bought the weapons (or possibly Hasan had forged ID?).
Isn’t it great to read a real newspaper article. I forgot what it was like.
This timeline in this good article seems more believable. Up to 14 minutes before LE arrived. I am skeptical Hasan could fire 100 rounds and hit 46 people in under 5 minutes.
Sad to see that even after multiple events like this, people still don’t understand to rush the shooter, throwing anything at hand, during reloads. This article suggests people were trying to flee and retrieve wounded during the lulls between shots. People can’t outrun or hide from methodical shooters like Hasan.
