his morning at about 6:00 am, I drove by the day labor center and the Lake Forest Home Depot. All was quiet. I returned at 9:00 and there were four people at Home Depot. I forgot the phone numbers Lake Forest Bob gave us, so I got the manager and politely reminded him that when Home Depot moved to Lake Forest, they agreed not to allow day laborers to loiter on the property. He confirmed this and called the police and the four were told to leave the Property.
I then returned to the street site and stood among the day laborers with a "Stop Illegal Immigration" sign. Many people honked and gave me the "thumbs up." Several people slowed down but when they saw the sign and the camera, they drove away without picking anyone up.
One guy (blue SUV) parked to pick people up, and he and I got in a shouting match. He got on the phone and told someone he was "there" but he could not get anyone because I was there. I am not sure why he cared. He threatened to call the police because I took his picture. I told him "Yeah, call the police, tell them you are illegally picking up illegal aliens for illegal employment and someone took your picture in a public place.
There were also two men sitting in a red truck the whole time. I think they are the pimps.

I have a great memory from my days in Del Mar about 10 years ago.
There were day laborers gathered at a gas station on Via de la Valle just off the 5.
I watched an well intentioned white grey haired lady (think church) show up with a grocery bag of zip-locked sandwiches.
The head day laborer jumped up and said, “Chow Time!, Chow time guys!”.
I was in my political infancy then so it didn’t register other than on a purely human level.

Well, there’s a freeper lady with “Cali” in her name and she lives in Ohio. Also, I saw people dressed in cool weather gear.
