She is a civilian. The army isn't the one behind this story. They don't get any good publicity from this story or her actions. If anything it's bad publicity for them because an off duty civilian cop, who was there to direct traffic had to do this. Per the graphics shown last night on ABC Hasan was shooting. She ran up and fired twice - he spun around and began firing, she fired back. Now combine this with the following excerpt from the story above. Todd said he and Munley both took cover and as Hasan walked around one side of the building, he went around the other. "That's when I saw him again. I told him to drop his weapon and he fired a couple more rounds. He fell, I went up and secured his weapon." He fired a couple of more rounds at HER, because she was shooting at him. She followed Hasan. He "fell" because she had shot him. Your determination not to give this woman her due is sad. Hasan (I won't call him Major because as far as I'm concerned he forfeited that title when he did this)hated women and refused to be photographed with a woman. Do you hate women? Or just women that break your stereotypes of what women should do?

You all saying “she was civilian” are absolute retards, figuratively speaking. She was a Department of Army Police officer. She was employed for and by the ARMY.
