I heard the end of this Michael Smerconish interview this morning on the way to work. He fell all over her. It was kind of pathetic.

Release the hounds!

Forgive me the errors in format. I tried to bold the questions, but failed in some spots.

The fact that the left absolutely loves her tells me she is nothing more than a lib. She should just change parties and stop pretending.

Yeah, she’s so GOP she endorsed the Dem over the other Republican who ran as a Conservative.

She is spinning like a centrifuge.

And Smerconish is a horse’s @ss.

but I really think I govern according to the Constitution and I live my personal life according to my faith, and I try very hard not to mix up the two.

Reminds me of the old Steve Taylor song "It's a Personal Thing":

It's a personal thing, and I find it odd
That you would question my believing in a personal God
I'm devout, I'm sincere, ask my mother if you doubt it
I'm religious, but I'd rather not get radical about it
the old-time believers had timidity and grace
but this new generation doesn't know its place
you're entitled to believe, but the latest Gallup Poll
says you mustn't interfere--that's the government's role

It's a personal thing, and I boldly state
that my views on morality will have to wait
'til my personal life's out of the public eye
and the limitations statute can protect my alibi
I'm devout, I'm sincere, and I'm proud to say
that it's had exactly no effect on who I am today
I believe for the benefit for all manking
in the total separation of church and mind

It's a personal thing, and I plainly speak
(from the same code of ethics that I held last week)
as I promised if elected this election day
with the help of God almight...I'll do it my way

Why did you endorse Bill Owens?

That is an obvious question to ask, Smerconish is an idiot.

Since when is a strident leftist who supports all of Obama’s actions and is married to an ACORN-linked union goon a “moderate”?

I know, I know, since forever. But it’s still galling.

Whether it’s less government dependency, promoting self-sufficiency, believing in lower taxes, believing in fewer government regulations, believing in less government spending

I've heard words like that before. They're words Republicans like to use a lot before they get into congress and forget all about them.

I think the lesson to be learned from this is to both the GOP establishment and conservatives — they need each other to win.

It needs to start with the GOP returning to the party of fiscal conservatism. But also, conservatives need to understand the limits to their power. They can choose when a Republican loses, as they did here and with John McCain, but they cannot win entirely on their own.

I'm so tired of this Sep[aration of Church and state crap which doesn't exist. Read the friggin' Constitution.

Marriage may have religious roots to many but it's a state license. You want to marry go marry. It's really a secular issue on tax issues and what society wants to promote. It's about a same sex couple being the same for society as a hetero couple.

I don't care about what she has to say.

She can try to obfuscate and confuse the issue all she wants. She fact is that she is a traitor, and as a such she should be thrown out of the GOP. She endorsed the enemy, knowing full well that she was making sure Hoffman would lose.

She is bitter and taking this personally. Well, I say if she wants to make it personal, the GOP should oblige her. She has the nerve to say "and I think the Republican Party needs to know if they don’t have room for us and they don’t want us working with them, we’re going to find a way to work against them," after taking hundreds of thousands of GOP money for her campaign.

If that's the way she wants it, fine. The GOP should just find a way to work against her, that's all. Pretty tough talk, coming from someone who looks like she would be useless in a real fight. Take her challenge, target her, end her career, and put her on the shelf

She should be tared and feathered for all I care.

"I’d love to talk to some of the people on the extreme side of the spectrum and just say, listen, let’s find some common ground here and see how we can move this party forward..."

ehh...you endorsed the enemy lady.

That not only makes you a complete low-life, that makes you a traitor. Just-go-away.

Smerconish is an attention seeking media whore. I used to listen to him but now find him unbearable.

He asks her a series of questions in which she claims to be a Republican. He leads her, like the lawyer he is, question by question in an effort to prove she really is a good solid Republican.

One problem. He never got around to asking “Why did you support and encourage others to support a Democrat?”

Case closed. She would have been useless in Congress.
