Ft. Hood Shooting News Conference.
Something just occured to me (lightbulb comes on)....in addition to failing to mention the killer’s muzziness, I haven’t heard him be called a coward yet, not even by military personnel, much less the MSM. Now, let’s see...attacking unarmed people without warning....that would pretty much qualify as cowardice. Of course, cowadice and muzziness go hand-in-hand....just like muzzies and little boys.
Depending on how long it’s been since you’ve been here, you wouldn’t BELIEVE the growth.
Interesting. It goes without saying there is an inherent risk just by being in Afghanistan, but his risk was much, much less than the young men and women he murdered.
My antenna goes up when I hear that his greatest fear was being deployed. It didn’t make sense because I did not think doctors were put on combat duty. It is normal to have fear and apprehension, but the level of fear that has been reported seems way out of proportion.
I don’t think it was so much fear as it was not wanting to leave his cushy life in DC.
It was building up when I left..I believe it.
For some reason I thought it was this year. Time flies!

It give a run doen of all dates, including his security clearance investigation start date and the security clearance granted date. Clearance was "Secret".

Also: doen = down

Note that under "Religion" it states NO-REL-PREF. Why would someone that is such a zealot state such? Maybe to stay under the radar? Look at the dates on this form and then look at what we are told was going on "back at the office." While he was being investigated for his security clearance, he was being repremanded for his angry outburst regarding Islam while on duty. You know... You would think something like that would send up a red flare for someone, wouldn't you?

If you look at the date he graduated from med school (2001) and the start of his internship (June 2003, there’s a 1.5 - 2 year gap there.
What did he do?
That is a good question - esp as 2001-03 are not exactly insignificant dates. There are some reports that he was involved with Homeland Security.
I read an article yesterday, can’t remember where, that said he had been promoted in July of this year. So maybe you read the same one. Whenever it was, it should have never happened.
This whole situation reeks of incompetence or willful blindness on the part of superior officers and security investigators. Combine this with the fact that the FBI had him on their radar at least 6 months ago and you have to ask: "WTF is going on with you people? What is your problem that you can't (or won't) pick up on this situation? 13 people are dead you bunch of morons! Are you going to do it the same way with the next one?"

Thank you, Ma’am! :-)
When did he graduate from high school? 1988 or so? So that’s a 5 year gap between graduating and starting at Virginia tech?
Years that need investigation are 1988-1997 and 2001-2003 it appears.
I don’t see a shrink being put anywhere near the front lines.
The program of paying for medical education and then having them pay back what used to be two years for every year of education has been flawed for years. Soon as they get their education, do their internship, their residency, and then pass their boards, all of a sudden a lot of them no longer want to serve.
In this case, looks like he was a problem from the beginning and had to continually be counseled since he wanted to convert patients to Islam which should have set off warning bells. But no, they promoted him, gave him a transfer, and then a bad effectiveness report as they shipped him off to Fort Hood.
Army officers had to see all the signs that he was a militant Muslim especially when you have fellow officers at Walter Reed wondering if he was a terrorist.
Army brass and FBI failed out soldiers IMO by not getting this guy out of the Army.
You have summed it better than I could and without all my caps...great summary, but what a PC and beaurocratic travesty!
