I have not had much time to read a lot about all of this. She is a Policewoman, right? Shouldn’t she have a certain type of gun, are there rules about that?

Do we know how far away from Hasan she was when she was shooting him? I don’t know any of that. I am impressed that she ‘hit’ him 4 times, even if it wasn’t a ‘killing’ shot.

.

Her partner(?s) may have gotten some shots in too

A 9mm or .38 is a lame choice for a stopper

The German 9mm Luger cartridge or the Walther .380 and .32 were cute - but the NAZIS love to get their hands on a Colt 1911 .45 pistol

The Germans actually manufactured some Colt clone .45s in some Scandanavia countries during WWII

A 9mm can go right through your arm and not stop you

Kimberly Munley was shot in her leg by a 5.7mm bullet and it did not stop her

I would venture she carried a 9mm or a .38

Unlikely a .40 or a .45

At least a .357 Mag with hotloads at the minimum

Using a small caliber handgun just makes the bad guys madder

I prefer a revolver because pistols can jam

A revolver misfire - just rotate that big old cylinder and nail the creep cold

-

If I have time and a good scope I can put a .22lr HP in an ear or an eyeball - the slug will bounce around inside the brainpan and scamble some eggs

But for close wetwork - a dependable large caliber well-balanced revolver will come through for you -

1-2 in the upper body mass will make the donuts

Six cartridges not enough? Carry two revolvers!

Well, he’s in a coma on a ventilator. I’d say Kimberley did pretty well. OTOH, they’ll say he can’t testify at his trial. I want a trial as speedy as Tim McVeigh’s with as speedy and permanent an outcome.
