Federal agents, military investigators and Texas Rangers are investigating whether the gun used in the Fort Hood massacre was purchased at the "Guns Galore" shop in Killeen, Texas, according to the store co-manager.

They called last night and asked about a specific name and gun purchase, but the name was not Hasan," said the manager who gave only his first name, Dave. He said he did not want to reveal the name for fear it would compromise the investigation.

Three investigators, including one wearing a Texas Rangers badge, were seen entering the store just before noon Friday. The manager said they were interviewing all of the store employees.

Ahhh, so it is the gun dealer’s fault then, right.

Think of the reporting done by Jayna Davis about the third suspect in the Murrah Building bombings. There is a deeper story here and we may never know it

Someone supplied him the weapon.

I do wonder why they don’t have at least officers carrying weapons on base.

I can understand not having every enlisted man with a weapon state side but I think that because we are at war that officers and E-7 and above should be packing. Especially in the Army and the Marines.

I just don’t get why a shooting force would restrict firearms so much. I heard a guy saying that even the security keeps their ammo separate.

When I was in the Navy, we kept a gun on our hip when we were on duty with rounds in the mag ready to chamber. We were under orders that if we drew our weapon for anything other than the use of deadly force that we would be court martialed.

I don’t know if this is a difference between the Navy and the Army, but I suspect the policy has changed.

If you own a gun store, your books better be in order all the time.

Because you never know when the Po Po or the ATF(E) will come calling.

If they want a scape goat, they'll get it if you let them.

AHA!! Looks like ambulance chasers on the move, searching for someone to SUE over the actions of this psycho Islamic terrorist. Naturally we can’t hold him or his phony, barbaric “religion” responsible, so let’s go after the store that sold him the gun!! Yeah, that’s the ticket.

"I guess to bring up such distractions means that this case too has “birther” theories. "

We need to have a "cleansing" in America...not of ethnicity, race, or nationality...but of legal status to be here.

Everyone should be required to show their birth certificate, and if not born here, their naturalization papers...if they don't produce them, then bye-bye.

I've made ID badge sized copies of my BC, and will proudly wear it to any political events...one side is my Birth Certificate...the other side says, "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours...".

I bet the name included "Muhammad" in there somewhere.

This obviously calls for more gun control, and fewer restrictions on Muslims.

BTW, that Ft. Hood area was a GUN FREE ZONE. Why you, as a commanding officer, would ever allow, let alone order, that your men be unarmed is beyond me.

All domestic bases are gun free zones. My daughter and her husband are not even allowed to have a gun in their residence on base.

I’m having a hard time seeing a major in the US Army enduring taunting and wedgies during PT.

Well in the name of heaven, I hope that changes quickly. Our people are sitting ducks for domestic Islamofascist attacks like this until they are armed.

The PC military isn’t gutsy enough to say “We’ll decide which officers can carry” because they might offend a Muslim or a gang-banger who isn’t allowed to carry. Because they use contractors who cost money, they have to scale back on security when money is tight.

***He took the gun into the base illegally. Why should it shock anyone that he bought it illegally?***

When I was in the military all the PX and base exchanges had firearms for sale.

I am not saying that there should be any discrimination.

Make all officers carry, if the military is concerned about these people carrying loaded weapons, then they shouldn’t be officers.

It is affirmative action that has lowered standards that has made them afraid to arm people.

Even if the shooter was armed, at least he would have faced a barrage of guns shooting back in response to his attack.

Why should it shock anyone that he bought it illegally?

He would not have needed to buy it illegally. He's a US Citizen, with no record and a major in the US Army. He'd pass the background check in an instant.

But this is interesting, although it may just mean he bought it from someone else, who probably stole it from whoever bought it at Guns Galore. It may also mean he had help.

The FBI should be searching mosques in the Walter Reed Army Hospital Area and Waco

There is a Mosque, and in fact a whole "Islamic" neighborhood, with street names of Abu Bakr, Medina Drive, Ali Dr., Omar Dr, Hamza Circle, and Osman Dr., right in Killeen. No need to travel to adjacent counties.
