I could say SO MUCH MUCH MUCH... but I won't. Just a couple of points:
1-The reason I picked the RCC is because I was born in it and therefore I can say that I know the RCC the way I could not say of other religions. Second, because of the size and tradition and presence of the RCC in the universe, it has a POWER that other churches do not have.
2-The day when I see the RCC represented on common TELEVISION channels defending our values (yes, that is where most people get their information from), then that will tell me that they are really PUSHING and FORCEFULLY trying to get their message out. But if you have to give me a link to a website to show me something the "Pope said," sorry, that will not do.
I would love to see this Archbishop of Louisville Joseph E. Kurtz on CNN, NBC, Larry King, NYT, etc all the lefty shows who actively promote the homosexual agenda, THEN I would say, yes, the RCC is fighting for our values.
Now, the important thing is that the RCC COULD if they wanted to, to be this visible, because they have the resources and presence to MAKE NEWS that the TV channels could not ignore, but I don't see that... And as long as I don't see their presence in this way on the general media channels, I will characterize their position as SILENT (mostly ignoring the issues, mostly looking the other way)
I was hoping she would ping you some other articles about the Bishops and Pope etc...
"RCC in the universe, it has a POWER that other churches do not have."
You're right, and it understands the power of the media and the necessity of getting its message out there by means of it. There is one big problem though, the leftist media doesn't care much for the RCC, nor the general population at large, the media is about revenues, I doubt any time soon you'll see a constant view of Bishops on mainstream TV.
Regards.
PS: I'll try and keep a lookout for mainstream coverage of prelates.
