Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan never served a tour of duty in Iraq. But the psychiatrist worked inside two places that have seen the terrible fallout from the war – first Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in the nation's capital, and lately at Fort Hood, the giant Central Texas base.
He dealt with some of the invisible wounds from the conflict. He counseled soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder, perhaps getting a preview of the horrors of war that he had yet to see.
But Hasan was, in many ways, very different from the soldiers and family members who had direct experience with the pain and suffering of war. He'd served in the Army for several years but had not been deployed overseas. Unmarried, he hadn't experienced the stress of soldiers whose family life had been interrupted by long deployments that put them in harm's way.
His religion, too, set him apart. He told relatives a few years ago that he was having second thoughts about his military career because other soldiers had harassed him because of his Muslim faith. More recently, he had expressed misgivings about being sent to Iraq or Afghanistan.

I can only stomach small doses of the MSM. But from what I have seen this morning, they are not even bringing up the possibility of this being a terrorist act by a Muslim extremist. The Early Show took its' time even saying what his name was. I didn't know he was middle-eastern, until I switched over to Fox.
He got a top notch $500.000 education in the army for free!!!

I read somewhere this morning that he gave away his Koran a couple days ago which is standard before terrorist commit their acts and aren’t expected to come out of it alive.

I was actually shocked this morning to hear on a radio news report of the Ft. Hood massacre that “authorities considering this a possible terrorist attack”.
About fell over.
It was only a radio news report so it will likely be swept away but at least somebody somewhere is investigating this possibiility...LIKELIHOOD.
This is already becoming ridiculous, like I should be surprised.
This article states that “years ago” he had had doubts. But he still chose to stay.
Why did he not declare himself a CO? Surely the fact that he is a Muslim would have helped his case.
I am not in any way disparaging those in the military that are deployed in support roles. Not every single soldier is in a combat role. Him being a psychiatrist would have probably put him at Camp Victory or Camp Liberty, both like small American cities, with BK, Taco Bell, coffee shops, etc.
Yes, it is still a war zone, but our troops have done such a fantastic job that he would probably be safer there than in Chicago.
The so called Melting Pot here in the US is full and we should bounce every Muslim out of the Military.

Maybe they should be looking at the mosque he attended in Virginia. I would investigate the Imam at the mosque. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
If it wasn’t his Moslem faith, it must have been the guns that did it.
