If six months ago Hasan was brought to the attention of the FBI because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings, why was he promoted at that time? A wild guess....Maybe the FBI didn't talking to his military CO....Would anyone be surprised?

The FBI was looking into this guy..yet he was transferred to Fort Hood. Who sent him there? Why? Why wasnt he booted out of the military with views like this? Hell, with this sort of intel on record about him, and the fact that he was a muslim, he should have been arrested and indefinitely detained as a serious security risk to the US.

It sounds like Hasan actually showed signs of his discontent with the United States and for whatever reason, people chose to overlook them.
Obama has given sign after sign on how he dislikes this country. Again, for whatever reason, people are choosing to overlook them.

I think too many people give Obama the benefit of the doubt. I think he is not working in the best interest of this country. I have no facts—only a gut feeling. I judge him by his action and his inaction.

Greta asked a good question. What about his patients? She didn’t quite say “did he influence them to his viewpoints” but that’s how i read it.

You might want to find yourself an Obama thread, and have at it.

Actually, I read on one of the threads here that he proselytized to his patients, urging them to islam.

I think that website is based on ‘sounds like’ so that anything that starts with Malik...follows.
‘Malik Nadal Hasan’ Sounds
This one ‘Sounds’ like Maliki the Iraqi Leader, I think...
like I said, stupid website.

Here:
A source tells NPR's Joseph Shapiro that Hasan was put on probation early in his postgraduate work at the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He was disciplined for proselytizing about his Muslim faith with patients and colleagues, according to the source, who worked with him at the time.
Fort Hood jihad shooter was disciplined for Islamic proselytizing
To: the anti-liberal
thanks for the link. So he was disciplined. Oh, ok i guess everything was A-OK then. Any follow up on him ya think? (haha jk)

Yes, so he was disciplined - I doubt he stopped, he may have just been more careful.
I have to wonder how many Trojan Horses - jihadi sleepers - there are in the military today.
Not to mention in all branches of US Government (including the WH, of course).
Perhaps it's time for a new McCarthyism, both Socialists and muslims.
To: the anti-liberal
i agree. and posted a similar sentiment about sleepers in the military on another thread.

I hope the same sentiment is running through the minds of many Americans, including those in the military and those conservatives in Congress, after the events of today.
