I don’t see why they withheld that information.

It probably takes a bit of time to get an increased security presence in place at the hospital.

Fox News reports the base is no longer on lockdown but has increased security and probably will have more in future days and weeks. How will that help with the enemy already inside the gates?

It is a military hospital not a civilian hospital so security should not be a problem.
