The general holding the press conference needs to CALM DOWN!!!
I find it hard to imagine why he can’t speak slowly and clearly. Can’t imagine what he’d be like when the shit hits the fan in a combat situation.
I have a friend who was a public affairs officer in the Air Force. She’s in the Reserves now. She used to role play with some of those high ranking officers to practice for press conferences/dealing with the media. In her opinion, they were more terrified of the media than real combat.
Really.
Maybe that is what happens when he had to say what he was told instead of the truth. That was a strange press conference for Lt General.
