Love to. Pick your average soldier that was in their 20s during the war and was old enough to start a family in the late 40s and 50s during the Baby Boom. Hope that clears it up. I appreciate the sacrifices they made and their stopping of evil but their children spat on what they were given.
So did they, and so did their parents. My Dad is one of the "GG," and he says the GG is errant nonsense. "GG" (and their parents) made FDR possible. Roosevelt was the beginning of the long downward slide. "GG" gave us Kennedy, LBJ and Nixon, and 40 years of Democrat Congresses. You can pick on the Baby Boomers all you want (and that's fine by me) but they learned it from somewhere, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
So which generation is that? There is no such classification as the “greatest generation”, there is not even a range of birth dates given for such a thing.
Actually, it was the grandchildren of the Greatest Generation which spit on what their parents gave them - that would be my generation, I’m sad to say.
If you mean boomers then you are talking about 9.4 million members of the military.
