“KCEN reporting they are hearing that shots have been fired at a soldier’s residence.”

Over a half hour ago one of the TV news stations said that officials were asking all residences on base to turn off their heating or air conditioning units.

Any idea why? The only thing I can think of would be to cut down on noise when searching the areas???

maybe to guard against bio-terror?? airborne chemicals can be drawn in with air..(my guess)

KCEN saying that shots have been fired at Kuma (sp?) and Liberty Village on post. Both are in a different part of the the post from where the initial shootings occurred

Yeah, I assume the A/C units would be turned off to aid the search (less noise). They may also request that they be turned off so that a roaming shooter doesn't know which homes are inhabited (avoid hostage taking).

I’m wondering now if the inital shootings were the first wave of a multi-stage attack. Prayers up for all the soldiers and their families in harms way!

For the FBI to so quickly discount ANY connection to terrorism seems very strange to me.

Someone suspects A/C units may have been poisoned on base.

This call is SOP in a suspected terrorist attack.

This does not confirm a terrorist attack, it only confirms that someone at FT Hood is going to protect his troops in case it is.
