How does some dude like this get to be a mental health professional in the military? Was he a medical doctor, perchance? One of the reports I've seen said that he was a psychiatrist, which would indicate that he's an M.D... which also explains why he was a Major. It could well be that he hasn't even been in the Army very long if he joined up after medical school. I don't think Doctors start out at the bottom of the O-ranks... maybe some military doctor can calibrate me on that.

More to the point, as a mental health professional, he would have people telling him details of things that had them upset, which has a grave security dimension to this whole mess.
