I wouldn't let my children out looking 'gangsta' or dressed as whores, yet there are plenty out their trick-or-treating and when that happens I think that is 100% a fault of parents.

Look at the title and read the article.

Says they mistook them for gang members.

Guess they weren't wearing a Perez Hilton costume.

A friend of mine works at a middle school, and one time she showed me the list of wardrobe items that are banned at her school because they indicate you’re in a gang. Much of it is innocent...certain colors, for instance; sports logos or innocent words on T-shirts, skipping a belt loop when you put on your belt or leaving the second button on your shirt unbuttoned. The list has to be constantly updated and revised, as well. With so many silly things supposedly meaning that you’re in a gang, how could anybody keep up with it? Any one of us could be innocently wearing a certain color, or maybe we forgot a loop when we put our belt on this morning. Nowadays you really can’t blame anyone for being mistaken for a gang member! We should have the right to wear whatever we want and walk down the streets, even at night.

I don’t know what you have against the 12 and 13 trick or treaters but you seem determined to place blame on them and/or their parents and/or Halloween, weird.

One of many reasons why I think the traditional trick or treat should go by the boards. One of our local communities banned the practice; instead, they have a party for the little kids. Much safer for everyone.

We needed our own as soon as MS-13 started showing its demonic face here.

"Who is out trick or treating at 10pm?"

Boys that go out to meet trick-or-treaters dressed as prostitutes. :)

“Police said the boys were confronted by a group that mistook them for members of a rival gang.

The 12-year-old was in critical condition after being shot. His friend was treated and released for stab wounds.

Police said they were “not gang members and were not wearing anything on Halloween to indicate they were in a rival gang”. No further details were provided.”

It would help a lot if gang members were forced to walk around only in their BVD’s after any kind of gang related violence. Tighty whiteys-no colored boxers.
