WASHINGTON The AARP has officially endorsed the House Democratic health care bill, a major boost for the legislation two days before a historic vote.
AARP Senior Policy Adviser John Rother said Thursday that the 40-million strong organization backs the House bill. He said the measure closes the coverage gap in Medicare prescription benefits, puts strict limits on what health insurers can charge older workers too young for Medicare and creates a voluntary, long-term care insurance program.

Never mind that your members are against it. Never mind that reduces their benefits. Never mind that it removes any choice they had about insurance. Never mind that it means the government will be able to deny care to the elderly merely because of their age.
Now is the time for all members of the AARP to vote with their wallets. You can get insurance, discounts and auto service elsewhere. Let them know you won’t stand for this. Make the AARP irrelevant.

All you AARPers out there deserve this, and you will have helped make it happen. AARP has long been a branch of the 'rat party, but many of you stayed in it because of the "great insurance savings". Well, you contributions will now bring you PelosiCare. Ironic that the "insurance savings" will be gone now to be replaced with rationed care and death panels. Oh, well, you saved some money through the years...
And if you resign now, that's great, I suppose; but it's pointless now that we're all screwed.

Make the AARP irrelevant.Unfortunately the AARP will never be irrelevant to the state-controlled media. Just like the AMA which represents less than a third of doctors or the NOW which represents less than one percent of women. Since the AARP is leftist it will always be the "official" voice of seniors.

Sorry, I cannot believe a demographic of 40 million would embrace cutting the MEDICARE budget by $500 BILLION to fund abortions, free care for illegals and preventive care for yuppie “children” up at age 27
while submitting seniors to a GOVT PHILOSOPHY that their health regimen beyond age 49 should trend increasingly to largely PALLIATIVE care FOR THE “GOOD” OF SOCIETY
Talk about going gently into the night ....

They finally stopped send crap to my house after I told them to. I also told them that it was because they support a Liberal, Radical agenda, and to never contact me again. So far so good. IMHO, more people need to do this.

AARP has always been a socialist organization;after all folks, the Social Security we all love was a major step in putting the U.S. on the socialist path.
Once more than half the population live in cities and no longer see a direct connection between their own work and their food and shelter, then the people start expecting various forms of handouts.
You don't see panhandlers in the countryside because farmers will feed you IF YOU WORK or are truly unable to work.

AAARP is one of the most if not the most criminal promoting group in this country. Many Seniors are hooked on drugs or abusing the health care perscription drugs because of AAARP, this greedy much now wants more money and control over us just like obozo and his thugs in the WH. AAARP isn't really much difference than Acorn, they just go about their greedy agendas differently.
