We wrote Monday of Leftist, George Soros-funded "media reform" outfit Free Press, and their extensive relationships with people currently in power at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and in the White House - up to and including President Barack Obama.
With current FCC Chief Diversity Officer ("Diversity Czar") Mark Lloyd and the Leftist, George Soros-funded Center for American Progress, Free Press co-authored the 2007 report The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio. Which calls for the FCC to enforce exceedingly broad (we would say warped) new definitions of the media diversity and localism FCC broadcast license requirements. These new definitions and their enactment are intended to force conservative and Christian talk show hosts off the air, to be replaced by those of a Leftist bent.

I don’t see how they can write legislation for conservative talk radio without it backfiring and requiring the addition of conservative viewpoints at places like ABCBSMSNBCNN.
Because the view from the left will be considered "objective" and "straight news".
PING
Sorry. Can't buy that. There ARE segments at all of those places that are "opinion" oriented that will require "equal time".
The don't give a rat's patootie whether you buy it or not. They will declare it to be objective, the same way liberals see their bizarre world view as the only reality right now.
Opinion? Don't bother having one. We'll tell you what to think, and you'll believe it, buddy.
I’m so glad to see someone doing some good research on this McChesney guy and Free Press. It’s a very deceptive website with all the photos of the staff with their bright, smiling, friendly-looking faces and shiny resumes. You have to dig into those resumes and do searches to find out what they really support and who they are connected to and most people wouldn’t bother. They would just take it at “face” value literally.
Unfortunately the examples of correct-conservative though they will allow on those channels will be Newturd Gengrich, Micheal Steele, Ross Douthat and Lindsay Graham.
