Interesting connections below between MS-13, the communist FMLN of El Salvador and comments made recently by Obama's pastor of 20+ years, "reverend" Wright...

From the website, GangsOrUs...

"The story of Mara Salvatrucha 13 [MS13) is inevitably also the story of El Salvador and the results of its twelve-year civil war. From 1980 until 1992, the fighting between the Salvadoran government and the communist rebels claimed over 75,000 lives and sent more than one million refugees and immigrants to the United States and to its neighbors throughout Central America."

[snip]

"It is worth noting that following the end of the 12-year Salvadoran civil war, the insurgent FMLN – a Cuban-orchestrated cohesion of five Communist groups, which was in turn supplied with arms from Cuba, China and the Soviet Union – disarmed and became a political party. While the opposition Alianza Republicana Nacional (ARENA) [National Republican Alliance] party has held the presidency since 1989, there are elections scheduled for March 21. FMLN leader Shafik Handal will stand as a candidate. The 72 year-old is the former head of the Salvadoran Communist Party. He has spoken openly about turning El Salvador into a Socialist state, and recently sent Fidel Castro a letter in support of the jailing of 75 peaceful oppositionists in Cuba. His party is an essential part of the MS13 network that continues to send rifles and assorted munitions to the Salvatruchas of Los Angeles and elsewhere in the United States."

Controversial New Video of Obama’s Pastor [Wright opens up on communist "Black Liberation Theology"]
Accuracy In Media - AIM ^ | November 1, 2009 | Cliff Kincaid

*Editor's Note:  The Wright video linked to in Cliff Kincaid's column, Controversial New Video of Obama's Pastor,  has been deleted. But the same video can still be viewed on YouTube in three parts. Here are part one, part two, and part three.  We do not know why the original video was taken down, but have our suspicions.

A new video of Jeremiah Wright has surfaced, showing Barack Obama's pastor of 20 years praising Marxism and discussing his ties to communists in El Salvador and Nicaragua and the Libyan government. ..."

He said that "My work with liberation theology, with Latin American theologians, with the Black Theology Project and with the Cuban Council of Churches taught me 30 years ago the importance of Marx and the Marxist analysis of the social realities of the vulnerable and the oppressed who were trying desperately to break free of the political economics undergirded by this country that were choking them and cutting off any hope of a possible future where all of the people would benefit."

He said that his "exposure to the FMLN in El Salvador, the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, and my presence at the 15th Jamahiriya in Libya taught me what I have read in the pages of the Monthly Review which is, as Joshua Stanton says, though we need not always agree with one another we must do the work necessary to at least understand one another."

The FMLN was the armed wing of the communist movement in El Salvador, while the Sandinistas are the communist movement in Nicaragua. The Cuban Council of Churches is controlled by the Castro regime.

Thank you. I planned to watch that video, but never did find time to do it. IMHO there is some connection between the banking industry and drug cartel money as well. In the Ramos and Compeon case, the drug runner was given extra special care and attention while the border patrol agents were painted as the bad guys. Our court system (all the way to the White House) was protective of the drug runner and adamant not to pardon or reduce sentencing for the border patrol agents who were doing their jobs. There are still other border patrol agents in prison for doing the same protection of our borders. It has evidentally been going on for years before the Ramos and Compeon case. There is massive corruption (as Mexico was involved in that case as well).
