Significant Vote Counting Errors in NY 23's Madison County
TCOT Report ^ | November 4, 2009 | Michael Patrick Leahy

578 Votes Counted for Scozzafava in 3 Election Districts Where Hoffman Received ZERO Counted Votes

With 92% of the precincts accounted for and a hefty 5,850 vote differential, news today that Madison County's Board of Election has confirmed that Doug Hoffman received zero counted votes in three of its fifty-five election districts is unlikely to cause the Conservative candidate in yesteday's Special Election in the 23rd Congressional District to rescind his concession speech. But it does raise eyebrows among election watchers who heard numerous accounts of election day malfunctions of a new voting machine system that was in place yesterday.

578 votes in those three election districts were counted for Scozzafava, but they were probably cast for Hoffman. Counting those votes for Hoffman rather than Scozzafava would reduce Hoffman's vote deficit from 5,850 to 5,272, still not nearly enough to call the outcome into question.

The unofficial vote count for each of the fifty-five election districts in the county was released today and can be viewed here.

The three election districts where the vote count is in question are the Town of Fenner 1st District, Town of Hamilton 3rd District, and Town of Sullivan 2nd District.

It doesn't matter now. The blame goes to Scuzzy, Newt, the NRCC and other RINOs that would rather forget about an actual Conservative candidate.

I’m wondering if straight tickets might have hurt Hoffman.

She was still on the ballot as a republican, he wasn’t.

Where is Jimmah Carter to supervise election fraud?
Or does he do that only in foreign countries?

Scazza was on two lines, Owens on two lines, and Hoffman on only one. The conservative line.

I’m wondering it the absentee ballots made up enough votes for whatshername that kept Hoffman from winning.

You just know that this was wide spread in different ways on most of these paperless electronic machines. This is how the democrats stole this one. I wondered how the polls could be so wrong.

If the entire 23rd District was using machines instead of paper ballots, why didn’t the election commission remove Scuzzy’s name from the machine’s ballot. I think some voters in this district didn’t know that Scuzzy dropped out of the race

Don’t know if it would have mattered anyway. Some people just vote for whoever has the “R” after their name no matter what. If no “R” is there, they don’t vote.

"Where is Jimmah Carter "

Don't worry, he will forget to take his pills and be back in the news again sometime soon ...

They never used paper ballots in NY per say for the main voting. They used mechanical machines with levers and counters. They were also very reliable and pretty darn near impossible to commit fraud with.

Hmmm... Wouldn’t switching 578 votes from Owens to Hoffman change the deficit from 5850 to 4694? When you take a vote from one side, you adjust the deficit by 1. Then when you add that vote to the other side, you adjust the deficit by 1. Meaning that every vote mis-counted is actually a 2 vote swing...

Which party should do that? Remember, in NY23 Hoffman wasn't the R or D candidate. It would be the Conservative Party that should lead the challenge, so if this Party is to continue, it better get in there and start scrapping.

This is why he wasn’t watching the election.
What did he know and when did he know it?
