She voted for Obama because she felt like the election was about "being a part of something." Yep, I mocked people like this after the election.
They wanted to "vote for the cool black guy" and "be a part of history", regardless of how destructive putting him in power would be.

Indeed. I saw this the whole time in line at my polling place that fateful day. And the stupid cretins did not even vote on any other items on the agenda, just President and finish so you could get back to the apartment and the bong.
