Pelosi Dimisses impact of New Jersey/Virgina (We Won Last Night)
Politico ^ | November 4, 2009 | Politico

Most House Democrats tried to put a good face on Tuesday's election results, saying they picked up two more votes for a sweeping health care bill that could be on the floor as early as Friday.

But it can't make Speaker Nancy Pelosi's job any easier as she works to corral those last holdouts she needs to approve the bill. Of course, the speaker, who told Politico recently she's "not big on showing weakness," brushed aside questions about how the election results would impact her final tally and instead trumped the two special election wins.

"From our perspective we won last night," Pelosi told reporters during a Wednesday morning photo opportunity. "We had one race that we were engaged in, it was in northern New York, it was a race where a Republican has held the seat since the Civil War and we won that seat, so from our standpoint, no, a candidate was victorious who supports health care reform, and his remarks last night said this was a victory for health care reform and other initiatives for the American people."

"So from our standpoint we picked up votes last night," a cheerful Pelosi said, "one in California and one in New York."

I sincerely hope that the Dems remain in their delusional state for another 12 months......i HOPE they spin it and continue to attack liberty and freedom. It will be better for us next year.

the worst thing that could happen is that they move to the center more quickly...we want to keep them just left/delusional enougy for a 2010 backlash. But hopefully there are a handful of intelligent Dems who will bring obango’s change to a grinding halt.

If Pelosi acturally believes (which is doubtful) that this was a Democrat victory, she’s psychotic.

“Republican has held the seat since the Civil War”.

Amazing how they keep stating this and it’s an out-and-out lie.

"Is this woman really this dumb?!!"

Yes.

And guess who's even dumber. Every single moron who voted for her (but that's everybody who voted for her). Scary, isn't it? There are lots of them out there. Fortunately we can outthink them.

“Pelosi Dimisses impact of New Jersey/Virgina (We Won Last Night)”

The Democrats, aided and encouraged by the MSM, live in a plastic pseudo-reality, where anything can be true and anything can be not true, dependent entirely on what they find to be convenient. More than just losing touch with their constituents, they’ve tuned out altogether.

A democrat won in that district in NY in 1993. Maybe in Pelosi’s mind that is a hundred years.

She probably couldn’t even find those two states on a map, even if they were spelled out.

Delusional.

The Democrat didn’t win a majority. The Conservative + Republican tickets won a majority.

The seat falls to the minority Democrat due to incompetence of the RINO party. But that is no approval of 0bummerCare.
