I’m not convinced the GOP has found it’s voice.

It’s just that the Democrats have been so clear on where they want to take us that people are repelled by the Democrats. The GOP is the only place to run to.

Unless of course we get more conservative candidates bucking the GOP leadership.

What does Steele *do* with his days, outside of making the talk show rounds? I haven’t yheard about him doing *anything* effectual to strengthen or fill the GOP coffers. No words about him building up the state machines. Why do we hear nothing about him doing anything to help fix the Party infrastructure or candidates in places like California, NYC, or Massachusetts? Does he even know how to run a *city* party operation? Maybe I’’m out of the loop, but what the hell is he doing, besides gladhanding MSMers?

The RNC ought to come out and criticize Scozzafava for enforsing the Democrat in NY-23, and the RNC should praise Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman for running a strong challenge to Owens. The GOP likes to talk about a Big Tent — so reach out and praise the Conservative and say that those values are very welcome in the Republican party.

Just think where the GoP would be if it hadn’t DEDEdiddled around... and the pittance of support for Harmer from the CaGop and GoP still speaks volumes as well.

If the hunger to win is so great, than act like it,

He's probably great for sealing envelopes.

For its part, the White House said the elections were about local races, local issues and local candidates — not about Obama.

The biggest local issue here in Virginia is what the federal govt has done and is doing to the economy, taxes, and personal freedom.

Wrong.

The Republican Party is crumbling under the weight of a Conservative resurgence. If Steele really wants to appeal to the people, he would abandon the "big tent" idea and the policies of identity politics that are wrecking the American culture.

The reason for the dramatic Republican victory is simply that the party is not crumbling as quickly or as dramatically as the hopelessly corrupt and Marxist Democratic Party.

People are frightened that today will be the last day for freedom in America and they are only now beginning to see the true face of the enemy. Imagine what will happen when they realize that the Republicans are as much a part of the game.

Rush just read a piece saying that the R turnout was the same as last fall but Ds stayed home.

There will be a lot of analysis to follow, but Steele better not proclaim Mission Accomplished anytime soon.

It’s not the GOP. It is ordinary people that have refound their traditional values and reject the politics and policies of the business as usual zombies in local and state government on both sides of the aisle. Look out Washington! We’re coming to clean you out and the cleansing starts at home first.

By my reckoning the “establishment” Republican candidate got only 5% when running against a real conservative.

have people started calling RINOs “5 percenters” yet?

Not one penny to the RNC until they back Sarah Palin.

Who am I kidding?

They probably won't even back her after she's President.
