Gore Asks Us To Commit Economic Suicide

Junk Science: The oracle of climate disaster has a new book out on global warming that should be on the fiction list. He asks us to commit economic suicide while he rakes in millions from his green investments.

'Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis," Al Gore's sequel to his 2006 tome "An Inconvenient Truth," came out Tuesday. Printed on recycled paper using low-VOC (volatile organic compound) ink, it will undoubtedly be a best-seller and on the desk of every attendee at next month's climate change conference in Copenhagen.

In a press release announcing the book, the Oscar- and Nobel Prize-winning former vice president writes: "Now that the need for urgent action is even clearer with the alarming new findings of the last three years, it is time for a comprehensive global plan that actually solves the climate crisis. 'Our Choice' will answer that call." (snip)

Perhaps, but at the same time he is advocating policies based on junk science that, while he enriches himself, will devastate the American economy, causing huge losses in jobs, economic growth and GDP.

The American consumer and taxpayer are on the wrong end of his green Ponzi scheme. Somewhere, Bernie Madoff is smiling.

The Climate, Health Care and H1N1 are all crises that don’t exist.

The only problems they can solve are all the same one: the problem of the federal government not completely controlling all of the people.

Their philosophy: If we can’t survive by living according to some extreme enviro’s vision of society, then we don’t deserve to survive. It’s a variation on the self-loathing theme.

Nobel Prize-Winner: Cap-and-Trade Could Ruin U.S. Economy

With climate change legislation under consideration by Congress, an environmental expert with a Nobel Prize-winning organization warns that the cap-and-trade bill supported by Democrats could destroy the American economy.

Dr. Steve Running, Director of the University of Montana’s Climate Change Studies program, is on the board of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with global warming crusader Al Gore.

During a Wednesday interview with a radio talk show host in Montana, Dr. Running said efforts to deal with climate change will fail unless they involve all nations.

“If the U.S. passed cap-and-trade and other countries did not, it wouldn’t work,” he declared.

“It would ruin the U.S. economy and it wouldn’t save the climate either. So this is a global issue, the global climate statistics are global in nature, global carbon emissions are global in nature, and we really have to have an international consensus of what to do. That is going to stretch our international diplomacy to its limit, there’s no doubt about that.”

Running called on the U.S. to show leadership on the climate change issue, saying other countries will follow suit.

But China and India, two nations that produce large amounts of greenhouse gases, are not expected to adopt cap-and-trade measures like those being debated in the U.S. Congress.

Sen. James Inhofe, the ranking Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, has voiced sentiments similar to Dr. Running’s. He told Newsmax in a recent interview that cap-and-trade won’t work because “it doesn’t matter what we do in America — if we drive our manufacturing base off to places like China, India, and Mexico, places where they don’t have any emissions standards or restrictions, then it’s going to have the effect of increasing and not deceasing CO2.”

He also said cap-and-trade would amount to the “largest tax increase in the history of America.”

I saw a picture of one of Gore’s houses yesterday. It looks like the WH could fit inside of it with plenty of room to spare.

I am sick and tired of this cr@p! When I was growing up it was all about climate cooling, so what in the world happened where it then became global warming?

I'd also like to know who was responsible for global warming when the glaciers covering parts of major continents during the last Ice Age began to recede.

I mean, it couldn't have been men since from everything I was taught the ICE age and then the decline in glaciers was due to natural and regular fluctuations in weather patterns.

Now it appears they've adopted 'climate change' as their mantra.

How does one switch from global cooling to global warning and now to climate change without realizing these phenomena have been happening for thousands and probably millions of years?

As far as the new mantra about climate change...there's plenty of documentation, physical evidence and such for these idiots to drop their meme about climate change. Yes, climates change and treaties signed by governments to promote their latest issue will not hold back the next Ice Age, global warming or climate change.

Um, that's the way the world works!

The Climate, Health Care and H1N1 are all crises that don’t exist.

Correct! I am also very suspicious about the "financial crisis" of Set. 16, 2008 which precipitated much of this. Who was supposedly withdrawing billions of dollars from money market accounts at a very rapid clip in the wee hours of the morning?

We know the banking crisis was set up by the Democrats with the Community Redevelopment Act under Carter, then reenergized under Clinton, protected from change by the Democrats and aggressively pushed by ACORN demonstrations at banks and at the homes of bank presidents. All of those are Democrat initiatives which can only to one end.

Were the mysterious withdrawals from money markets timed to occur under Bush? Did Bernake and Paulson lie to Bush about the "crisis" so the Democrats could point the finger away from themselves?

The facts of the situation indicate to me it was all setup, hyped, and rammed through in a hurry by the Democrats. The others, climate change, healthcare, cap and trade, H1N1, etc., are all part of their Cloward-Piven strategy to overload the system and panic the country into giving complete control of everything to the Democrat government.

If they are successful they never intend to give up control. The Democrat Party's name should be changed to the Marxists Party!
