Headline is incorrect - the town cannot supersede state law. They may have voted to legalize pot but they didn't legalize it.

but they didn't legalize itThey did, WRT the town's laws. City police will not arrest for possession now (if they ever did before...) But you are right in that county or state officers could still arrest someone (if the county has an ordinance against it.) Just a lot fewer of them around to worry about.

But you are right in that county or state officers could still arrest someone Colorado has largely decriminalized pot. Posession of an ounce or less is a summary offense.
