personally, I am sick of the pub or conservative always being nice.....Hoffman should have waited until the votes were counted....
Didn’t BO put his name on both the NJ and Virginia races. I know he at least did in Virginia. That wasn’t just a rejection of Deeds, that was an overwhelming rejection of BO.
defeatism = failure
Oooh, you haven’t seen the arguments yet. Give it time.
Rubio can’t win moderates, dontchaknow, just like Hoffman in NY23 couldn’t...
That’s only the beginning...
You don’t think we taught the GOP a lesson???? I disagree..We knocked their candidate out cold.
And then to rub salt in the wounds their candidate endorsed the RAT!
The conservative lost to the rat but he beat the RINO and even though he came out of nowhere he got national support.
They were petrified of that prospect.
Why?
Because it would have meant third party conservatives challenging GOP social liberals nationwide.
The thing is...
...that can still happen.
Don’t talk to me. Talk to the RINOs who will be telling every squishy Republican that Rubio is ‘extreme’ just like Hoffman and can’t win independents. After all, it’s been proven now for all to see. Even if Rubio does win the primary, we’ll have the asshats in our own party calling him ‘extreme’ to election day just to torpedo him.
until we see the exit polls we dont know how Hoffman did with moderates.
He may well have won them and lost anyway.
I think Dede endorsing the dem really tipped the scales in the end. That was the key event.
lets wait for that and then we can make some judgments
I think that any lesson we taught them will be lost and I think that they will go right back to trying to enslave us as they have for so many years. I wish it weren’t so, but that’s what I think.
Oh, my bad. I guess I should pretend it’s fantastic so I’m one of the ‘men you like’.
Good news is that they voted your kind out of Maine tonight. (just kidding:))
That's a excellent statement, and one that shows that Mr. Hoffman always knew this race wasn't about HIM, but about the direction of this country. He's right in that this race DID put the dangers we're facing front and center into the public's consciousness, and to have come so far, so fast, just shows that his ideas resonated with his district.
You sound like you’re watching the CNN talking heads. Don’t listen to their spin (or is it just the spin in your head?).
Still a great night for conservatives in America. Sends a very strong message-two governors!
Really? I haven’t watched them. Maybe I can convert to leftism and have a career as a ‘journalist’. :)
It was a very interesting race.
Oh, I don't agree at all. The GOP candidate faltered badly, because she was just too liberal for that district. The National GOP didn't pick her, but they went along, because they've been laboring under the false notion that conservatives didn't stand a chance in the Northeast. Hoffman made an excellent showing, and it proves that with a bit more effort on the part of the GOP, a conservative COULD pull out a win.
From the looks of your posts here, you very well could fit in.
Inside the beltway, conservatives needed this win. They’re going to get pounded over the head with this by the ‘moderate first’ crowd. I appreciate the desire to put the best foot forward, but this is a huge setback.
You dont think we taught the GOP a lesson???? I disagree..We knocked their candidate out cold.

And came within a deuce of winning. Rovian is correct about GOP apparatchiks spinning this, but their arguments will sound less impressive while they hold their broken, swollen, bloody noses to deliver it. We gained ground, even if we failed to sweep the field.
