Commontater couldn’t have done better and would have had several spelling mistakes. I miss him too, but glad to see you’re posting uncommon wisdom.

I know this, you know this ... but some on FR do NOT live in reality ... Newt did not cause this loss. Some areas need conservative candidates run, other areas like NEW YORK need moderate candidates run. Until the GOP and its supporters start laying blame where blame is due for losing elections (WITH THE MEDIA) and taking action, more of the same will continue.
I couldn't agree more. It is very hard to find Freepers who understand that conservatism...no matter how right is rejected by a majority of voters in liberal states. So I checked out your homepage, and found a lot of wisdom, but I am puzzled by your comment, about hating extremists, which seems at odds with your "proud fan of Barry Goldwater" statement at the top.

I'm not trying to put you on the spot, but I was hoping you could explain these 2 conflicting statements if you have the time and inclination. I ask because, to my mind, Goldwater, and his famous quote "extremism in the pursuit of liberty..." shortly after the Cuban missile crisis is arguably responsible for the worst GOP defeat in memory, which begot complete rat control of our government, which begot Johnson's "great society."

My question is sincere, and in no way intended to be insulting. Thank you in advance for your response.

The GOP WILL be purged of socialists.

Then the socialists in the rat party will rule. If the voters are conservative they will elect conservatives. Change the minds of the people and you can elect rats who will pass conservative law.

You don't understand that elected representatives are servants of the voters. If representatives do not vote in a way that represents the voters, the voters vote them out. NY-23 is a RINO district. It was represented by a RINO before Owens won on Tuesday. If Hoffman had won you would soon gripe about Hoffman being a RINO, or Hoffman would be voted out next Nov, or recalled before next Nov. What you want is to fool the voters of NY-23 into voting against their interests and Hoffman to ignore them once in office. In short you want a dictator to rule the ignorant masses of NY-23. The voters in NY will not let you do that, so if conservatives will not support RINO's, you may have rat. Enjoy.

=)

Im glad you defined the problem, It saves me from having to do it...

The voters... The People...

We can either choose to live under marxism or not. There is no half way that is acceptable. Therefore catering to the idiocy of the willing slaves is INSANE as it will guarantee an eternity of miserable servitude to the collective and the state.

Ny23 was never about hoffman or NY23... It was about asserting control over the republican party. It was the first battle of the revolution and WE won. With each successive battle we WILL mold the republican party into what it needs to be to support the real effort to free ourselves from marxism.

Why? you may ask... Is it necessary to have control of a major political party that is pure of ideology and committed to a cause? Where everyone understands the goal at the atomic level of their beings?

Because we are going to need the political infrastructure to make radical changes within a few states. We are going to need that party to get radicals elected to those state governments. Freedom is not going to come to us by compromising with voters who are comfortable in their servitude to the state and collective. If we want to be free we are going to have to TAKE it and be willing and ready to fight to keep it.

Barry Goldwater was a Patriot, not an extremist. A MAJOR GENERAL in the US Air-force would not be allowed to make rank by being an “extremist”.

His message was the message Regan would use to win over the nation and defeat the peanut farmer. How did that happen?

Barry Goldwater had many supporters who took his message and the message of conservatism with them after the disastrous election. This would be the foundation of the modern day Republican Party. The election removed a good number of has-been Republican politicians (The rest would fall thanks to that idiot Nixon) ... Goldwater’s supporters started to rally around many younger Republicans ... With Goldwater’s message and younger leaders ... This new group of conservatives would lead directly to the rise of Ronald Regan (in CA) and nationally many years later.

Back to Extremist.

According to the MSM, anybody with right-leaning political views is a member of the “far right” or a right-wing extremist. This is incorrect. Members of 3rd party political groups are considered extremist. This is also incorrect.

In my mind, MY definition of an extremist is:

Any local/national/international person/group or organization whose political/racial/religious views are to the extreme opposite of others AND whose views endanger either liberty, freedom AND/OR the constitution of the United State of America.

Examples: al Qaeda, Aryan Nation, New Black Panthers. All extremists.

Please Note: Obviously I was not born until Regan was in office for 2 years ... I have obtained my information through research ... Many many many hours of research ... All for just one grade of an A ... which didn’t boost my overall grade one bit ... GRRRR but that’s another story for another day.
