And the result will be more losses for the Republican party.

Even flawed Republicans count as Republicans. The real power isn’t in individual votes on the house or senate floor, but a body count that determines who gets committee chairs and seats because they’ll control what goes to the floor in the first place. Being the majority party in the house or senate means everything in our system.

Instead, we’ll have a Democrat incumbent next time around.

GOOD!

Much easier to beat a Dem, than a liberal Rep. Didn't you notice, she is now a Dem, and will be caucusing with them.

There is a place to challenge Republicans, in the primaries. In instances like NY23 where there wasn’t one, wait until there is one. In this case it would have been a year. Instead, we’ll have a Democrat incumbent next time around. Yeah, that worked out.

Yes it did. A leftist GOP candidate incumbent would have been as permanent as herpes, or Arlen Specter.

This is a much better outcome than the apparatchiks would have crafted.

Much better.

BINGO!

That’s the awful truth in this case. The Democratic candidate was more conservative than the Republican.

And if all those bodies, which give seats and committee chairs, are liberals(R)...

...how, exactly, will that further a conservative agenda?

Well, maybe the GOP will think twice next time they go to support a RINO so maybe it wasn’t in vain.

No it does not. Just nine years ago the voters gave the GOP everything. We are not going there again. Many of us will never, ever vote Menshevik again.

I do agree that there is no room for a permanent third party in our system. This is why I feel the GOP will vanish by the end of the century.

How is she going to caucus with them if she doesn’t have a seat? I’m not sure what you mean when you say that she’ll be caucusing with them.

“The GOP establishment gift wrapped the NY 23 for the Democrats.”

It sure looks that way. What kind of backroom deals were made between the two parties for this to happen? Keep the Democrat in the Armed Services Committee. I’m tellin’ ya, these two parties are one and the same.

“There are 11,000 absentee ballots yet to be counted. Fulton county had a total failure of their voting machines and their votes won’t be counted until next week.

I think it is too early to determine the election.

Something smells rotten in upper state New York!”

I agree... what’s really happening here???

Owens should send Hoffman candy and flowers for all the help.

At the very least.
