Maybe these are just threats to get the GOP to rethink their position.

Just because no 3rd party candidate in the history of the republic has never won, does not infer it as an absolute. History, as with records and molds, are meant to be broken; neither are a constant or an absolute, in no shape and form. To apply such in the case of a possible 3rd party run by someone is dubious, at best, despite what history indicates. Hoffman(C) in the 23rd District is walking and talking proof.

Look at all these people stuck on the stupid party!

Bingo! We have a winner. The Republican party need NEVER change. Too many Repubs first, conservative second voters out there. As long as WE AGREE to stay in the party, it will never change. There must be a viable threat to split the republican party, or it will never change.

I would love to see her dance the McCain Dance...scare the heck out of the GOP by looking like a third-party, then force the guttless Center of the party to veer hard right and ask her to VP.

Are you talking about the GOP that nominated Ford/Dole in 1976, and then Ronald Reagan in 1980? What kind of boat was RR piloting?

Who knows. :)

Not entirely refutting what has been said, but felt it necessary to inject some contrary rational thought.

Correct it will remain the party dancing with k street and wall street and ever-other street. Just as long as they don't have to deal with the filth in fly over land and the media loves them. Spend, Spend, Spend. The battle cry of the republican party.

That was almost 30 years ago, if my math is right. There are more a lot more Lindsey Grahamestys than RR these days.

Ross Perot gave us Clinton.

The ineptness of George H. W. Bush gave us Clinton. Just like the ineptness of his son gave us Obama.

I posted the 1st thread predicting this here, it hit me right away when she resigned, it was my gut feel that it is what she is up too....

Nice to have Glenn in agreement.

The thread went over 400 replies.

You are confused and are responding to the wrong person. I have not posted to you previously nor did I say that I would not vote third party. I just said we should take our party back. Sarah would make a big mistake if she went third party, it is a losing proposition.

The point was that 3rd parties do not win. Lincoln’s Republican party was NO Longer a third party by the 1854 elections.

Nice though failed try

More over since TDs run third parties have been disasterous. There are plenty of examples of parties out there that SHOULD have had enough pull. They don’t they lack the resources ($$$$ and people) to do the job. Wish it weren’t so but it tis

Exactly. Here is what Rush Limbaugh said on his radio program on September 14,2009:

“But a third party is not going to do anything other but ensure the reelection of Obama and every other Democrat running for office.”

Does anyone dispute Rush’s wisdome here? Really?

So you will vote for a liberal dem rather than a conservative running on the GOP ticket that makes no sense what so ever.
