I used to see the First Amendment as a wonderful, straight forward thing. A strong statement of freedom, I have always supported it 100%.
I suppose I still do, but I see Islam as a death cult, eager to cut my head off, to take over my society, and to destroy the Constitution (including the First Amendment). I have a rather hard time thinking that Islam deserves constitutional protection. Sigh. Life isn't as cut-and-dried as I would like it to be.
Well, it would not be a problem of collision with the Constitution if we stopped recognizing it as A religion. Remember the Jim Jones cult? I don't recall anyone at the time calling that a true religion.
