LEEDS, United Kingdom - Protestors converged on the town of Leeds in northern England in a face off over Islamic extremism over the weekend.
Radical Islam is on the rise in Great Britain, but so are demonstrations by those who say enough is enough.
Leeds has a large Muslim community and a new group known as the English Defence League wants their government to do more against the growing influence of radical Islam. Protestors were angry with the government, and took it out on police.
The night before the protest, leaders of the English Defence League took CBN News to their secret meeting place located north of London to explain their views.
The EDL said they are not fascist, racist or anti-Semitic or anti-Muslim. They said they are only against Islamic radicals who want to bring Sharia law to Britiain.
The EDL also said they vow to keep marching against radical Islam. The organization wants to create a grassroots national political movement in Britain.
This is a HUGE clash of cultures. England is not the US. Nevertheless, the basic tenets of Islam are in direct contradiction to the culture and laws of England. This is going to get nasty before it gets better.
A lot of people are going to die over there before this is over.
Letting the Muslims know where they were meeting would be a good idea, you think?
To be clear. It will be MORE violent in the US in places like Michigan.

I see the labour parties decades of destroying their countries national identity in the name of failed social engineering projects like “multiculturism and political correctness” has run its predictable course.
Same reason we have........complacency. And “political correctness”.

For Britain, perhaps. Law-abiding citizens are pretty much forbidden from defending themselves with anything larger than a plastic spoon.
Fortunately for us Yanks however, Muzzies can't push us around as much. Americans (well, at least the patriots) tend to shoot back. Several times.
With any luck true Americans won’t let it get anywhere near as bad as Europe.

Unfortunate but true. Let’s just make sure that it is them, not us.

Actually, even a plastic spoon is illegal in Britain if used improperly. Specifically, if you instill fear in a criminal that he might be hurt by you (in defending yourself), you have committed a crime.
Britain has a VERY LONG way to go, and has VERY LITTLE TIME left while they can do something about it.
Britian was sleeping a bit longer than it should have. It now has a longer road to travel. solidarity to our brothers across the pond

Agreed, on both points. Almost.
Theoretically, you are correct. But terror cells, lawsuits, political accomodation, honor killings, etc. are all active right here in the US - the flying imams, the Detroit shootout, the girl who fled to Florida, etc. etc. When I read actual accounts of ordinary Americans defending themselves against jihadis with deadly force, I may be more optimistic.
It’s good to see that England has it’s own share of Patriots.
