I wish you luck in an extremely liberal state... Born and raised there myself but had to leave, to many nuts, no jobs and extreme taxes.

Unfortunately this is an issue, along with California’s 10th cong dist, and there’s a congressional race I believe in Florida that got lost in the VA, NJ, NY 43rd, focus. The conservative movement in Maine locally seems to be dormant, leastwise in FR postings.

“Im in Maine and I will be voting Yes for traditional marriage.”
PPP (a Dem-leaning polling firm) released a poll yesterday showing 51% of Maine likely voters favoring approval of tge referendum that would repeal the same-sex marriage law and 47% opposed. So that’s 51% for traditional marriage in a very liberal state. It will all come down to turnout; make sure that other like-minded voters go to the polls as well.

There's a lot at stake:
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

But I'm not holding my breath.

PPP also polled onTABOR, and unfortunately the poll showed 57% opposing TABOR, with Republicans only slightly supporting it and Democrats and independents strongly opposing it. If we get any good news today out of ME it will be on the marriage referendum.

Proof positive that unions run the state...your tax dollars at work.

I am 100% behind legalizing civil unions between gay and lesbian lumberjacks,(Let me be clear, not with each other, but with each other) but only on an annual basis, from September until ice is out.
Of course, that is: (1) upon payment of an annual license fee of $10,000. (2)I have exclusive documentary film rights (3) I am granted a monopoly by Baldacci for all woolen lumberjack shirts and hobnailed boot sales to the lesbian community of Maine (and Vermont).*
*Case you're wonderin' why I left out Namsha,it's because I noticed that their lesbian lumberjacks is so damn tough, they works barefoot.
As you can plainly see, I am a moderate on this issue. So let's get this done. First an environmental impact study. Wouldn't want nobody scarin'the moose.
