That bean pot looks almost like mine.
Mine has a beige band around the bottom of it.
I really do want to make a cassoulet this winter.
It’s a lotta work, though!

Brings back memories. Visited there a number of times in the mid 60s while working for the Naval Research Lab. Sort of remember getting a speeding ticket on base one time. NRL had a Lockheed Super Constallation EC121: http://www.dean-boys.com/ec-121.htm
which was available for research projects. It had the radome and pot belly but none of the electronics. We would load up our own stuff for our expeditions.

I wonder if #555 is the same EC-121C that sat at the end of the runway at Wright-Pat when I was there in ‘65?
They had a B-36 go off the end of the runway many years earlier and, instead of trying to move it, they left it sitting there as the genesis of the static displays for the Air Force Museum. At least, that’w what we kids were told.
When I was there they had the Peacemaker, the Super Connie, a C-54, a C-119, and a C-123 Globemaster.
