So the banks will be OK if I say I can't pay my mortgage because the STATE is borrowing my money, interest free of course?

Brenda Voet, a spokeswoman for the state Franchise Tax Board, says it's technically not a tax increase since workers will get their money back after April 15.

Where have I heard THAT before?

The only problem is that California has already been handing out IOU’s in lieu of tax refunds.

I’m not sure this is legal, but unless someone musters up the cash and a good Shark to sue the State, there isn’t anything that anyone can do about this one.

The best advice I can offer is to get the hell out of California most skosh...

The good citizens (not illegals and their rat protectors) should bill the state for interest and penalties. We are seeing brazen theft by governments. This new trend of interest free loans is theft. In addition, taxpayers are not guaranteed to be repaid. Last year, the state issued IOUs instead of payments. Taxpayers become just another creditor under this fraudulent scheme. Shame on anyone who voted for this fraud.

And how exactly do they intend to enforce this? Hiring hundreds and hundreds of state employees to scrutinize everyone’s W4’s? Or wait until taxes are filed and then fine anyone who didn’t increase their withholding.

This is NUTS!

It's technically a forced interest-free loan from the taxpayers to the government.
