NEW Survey USA Poll (VA Gov.) - McDonnell (R) +18
Survey USA ^ | 11/2/2009

Posted on 11/02/2009 10:52:53 AM PST by ReagansRaiders

3 Points in 3 Months: VA Gov Contest Polling Ends Just About Where It Began, with GOP Sweep of VA Races: Three months ago, when SurveyUSA began polling on the Virginia Governor race, Republican Bob McDonnell led Democrat Creigh Deeds by 15 points. Today, 3 months and 7 polls later, McDonnell leads by 18 points, essentially unchanged over the last three SurveyUSA releases, and essentially unchanged since late July.

Today, it's McDonnell 58%, Deeds 40%, according to this latest SurveyUSA poll conducted for WJLA-TV Washington DC, WDBJ-TV Roanoke, WTVR-TV Richmond, and WJHL-TV in the Tri-Cities. McDonnell has never polled below 54% or above 58% in SurveyUSA's polling on this contest; Deeds has never polled below 40% or above 43%.

In the race for Lieutenant Governor, the story is much the same: Republican Bill Bolling today defeats Democrat Jody Wagner 57% to 41%. Bolling has consistently polled between 52% and 57%; Wagner consistently between 40% and 42%.

Republican candidate for Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli leads his opponent, Democrat Steve Shannon, by the largest margin in these races today, 20 points. Cuccinelli today wins 59% to 39%, nearly double the 11-point lead he had when polling began three months ago.

What number in Politics constitutes a blow out? I mean sufficiently that even the MSM can’t spin this as anything except a butt kicking of biblical proportions.

You think THAT’S bad, wait until they see the number of House seats Dems lose in Virginia tomorrow and where some of them are — DEEP BLUE TERRITORY OF NORTHERN VA!!!

Wednesday morning at the WH press briefing...

Reproter: Mr. Gibbs, with Creigh Deeds losing by near 20 points yesterday, how does that reflect the American peoples attitude toward Pres. Obama and their view of the democrats agenda?

Bob Gibbs: Pres. Obama won Virginia and was not on yesterdays ballot.

Reporter: But Pres. Obama campaigned heavily for Deeds, appearing in person and doing commercials.

Bob Gibbs: I don't know how many times or ways I can say this. President Obama was not on the ballot in Virginia yesterday.

Reporter: Republicans also won the NJ governorship. President Obama was also a strong supporter of Corzine.

Bob Gibbs: As with Virginia, Pres. Obama was not on the ballot in NJ.

Reporter: In NY 23, Hoffman... (cut off by Gibbs)

Bob Gibbs: We are going to move on now.

Well, in this day and age, it's any margin that ACORN can't overcome, no matter how many corpses they get to vote.

A couple years ago, here in WI, our state rino senate majority leader was ousted by a conservative state rep, in the biggest conservative district in the state, because she wouldn’t bring up the tax payers bill of rights. She lost by 65%. That was a HUGE blowout. It’s looking like this will be similar, and a gov race to boot!

Obama getting what, 54%, was reported as a landslide and clear mandate.

But a 60% Republican win will be the result of angry white males, and the voters throwing a tempur tantrum that they will regret.

Bank on it!

Seriously. How long before an MSM parrot actually asks, "With Bob McDonnels impressive election day victory, one has to wonder, how long before the shine comes off and voters start to rethink their decision."

They are overstating the numbers so that an 8% margin doesn’t look so bad.

The Roanoke Times will say that McDonnell won because voters didn’t know what they were doing. The ignorant voters were swayed by negative ads and paranoia spread by special interest groups.

In my kids’ gymnastics place in Fairfax Co., the TV shows Fox/Beck in the waiting/observation room—and no one complains. Things have changed.

Kind of like Dan Rather or whoever saying the Americans threw a temper tantrum. Remember that one?

Which is why the Rke Times isn't good enough to line a parrot cage with. I may occasionally endure liberal inanity, but not when it comes laced with self-righteous childishness.

It was the late Peter Jennings, after the 1994 elections, who claimed that the American people threw a temper tantrum. After all, no one rational votes conservative... /s
