The 52/46 overall and 54/42 0bamacare numbers have to be speaking to the Blue Dog democrats. If the numbers are this nationwide, the numbers in districts that went for McCain have to be crazy against 0bama and 0bamacare. Those Dems have to realize they are committing political suicide to support 0bama.
On a separate note: why does Obama appear as a spelling error and 0bama does not?

The 54% against are voters passionate about this issue. Not many of the 46% in favor of this bill will single-issue re-elect a blue dog because of this vote; to them, this issue is part of an overall package. The 54% against? Most WILL likely single-issue oust the blue dogs that vote in favor of this mess.
A blue dog could maybe skate a generic 54/42-46% split. Not this one. Voting for this will single-issue lose a good majority of those 54% of voters and, it will turn a plurality into campaign machines dedicated to the task of ousting that Congress-critter.
It's not just the numbers against this UnConstitutional garbage of a bill; the momentum is against it as well.
(As much as I hate to quote/source him,) I think Dick Morris is right. On Hannity a month or so ago, he predicted that a vote for this mess combined with an absence of jobs in 2010 will make for a 100-seat turnover in the House.
As a personal note to my critter: Chet Edwards - you vote for this, and you lose. If this past August didn't teach you that, then you aren't paying attention. I want your job, Chet. I'm coming for it, Chet. If you vote for this, be very afraid. Not of me, but of the people of TX-17. The sleeping giant is awake. Are you paying attention, Chet? Because. We. Are.
