A new video of Jeremiah Wright has surfaced, showing Barack Obama's pastor of 20 years praising Marxism and discussing his ties to communists in El Salvador and Nicaragua and the Libyan government. Equally important, Wright is being introduced in the video by Robert W. McChesney, co-founder of Free Press, an organization which has come under scrutiny for its links to the Obama Administration and dedication to the transformation and control of the private media in the U.S.
In an article in the socialist Monthly Review, "Journalism, Democracy, and Class Struggle," McChesney declared, "Our job is to make media reform part of our broader struggle for democracy, social justice, and, dare we say it, socialism."
In the video, which captures Wright's appearance at a September 17, 2009, anniversary celebration of Monthly Review, Wright said that while the "corporate media" provide a "binary lens" of the world, in such terms as "communist versus Christian," Monthly Review offers what it calls "no-nonsense Marxism."
He added: "You dispel all the negative images we have been programmed to conjure up with just the mention of that word socialism or Marxism."
He called America "land of the greed and home of the slave."

I thought Obama converted to Amish.

Take a look at an extremely cogent comment left on Vimeo about this creep :
I excerpt it, go view the linked video and add your comments if you wish:
The Podgineer:
“I thought Rev. Wright came to pay tribute to others? Seems like a fine tribute to himself - wow - what a list of “what I’ve done and who I’ve been associated with.” Was this an Oscar acceptance speech? Please hold the applause. Wondering if Rev. Wright understands the very words of which he delivers, too? To me this man is a walking contradiction. Words with few deeds that measure up to his baseless accusations. The very fact that he himself has what he has is due to the freedoms of which “ALL” American’s enjoy! He can dispute that - but he has wealth, power, property - he’s at the top of the social order in this Nation. Yes, we have our issues as a Nation past and present - we’re not perfect by any means. His idiotic “parable” of the cake shows what he wants to do. What will he replace the Constitution with? We can bet he’ll be on the top of the social pecking order telling people what to believe and how to properly follow the leader when it all comes down. Thus the famous “God damn America” we’ve all come to know and love since our Nation sucks so bad -
Moreover, this idea of apology for slavery is a very ridiculous notion as the fact is indisputable that the very reason black-african’s found their way to these shores was due to their own race practicing slavery and profiting from it. Yes, slavery was a terrible chapter in our history. Unfortunately, slavery is alive and well still in many areas of Africa today. Has the Black community ever addressed this issue? No! Why? Because it doesn’t fit their agenda of victimhood. He and others also fail to give credit to any of the “white” folk who made it possible to have such freedom. This man and his ilk are truly evil and self-centered in their views.
His point of a Nation of “greed” and the “enslaved” is so far out of step it’s laughable. Does he make this stuff up to get notoriety of men? Can the honorable Rev. Wright give us an example of a Socialist regime that ever gave the “people” what he himself espouses as honorable liberty? Cuba? Russia? Vietnam? China? Can he name a Socialist nation that has given more to the world in both treasure and service than The United States of America?
I suppose we could have the “honorable” chairman Mao give us a lesson on how to treat “people” as a practicing Socialist? Mao was all about “people” you know. Can the honorable Rev. name a Socialist nation that allows the freedom to publicly call for it’s destruction and not do so from an undisclosed location for fear of government reprisal? How’s Zimbabwe looking these days? We’re all clamoring to get in aren’t we! Name the Socialist country from any time in history and I’ll submit my fault. The truth is he cannot! Nobody can because Socialism/Marxism is incapable of doing so - period. It’s about control and only control. If these “learned” preachers of equality suggest that it’s about social equality/justice then they have either been brainwashed, they’re ignorant, or they purposefully intend to seek power over people though deceit. I go with the later - possible all the above.
To have this man and this group lecture us about freedom and Marxism is a true fallacy as neither are compatible - history bears this out! Rev. Wright, you are confused and a true racist no matter what shade of color graces your skin. If you’re a true Black Theologian then you are personally acquainted with religious hatred of others that are not of your color.
You know what I’m talking about Rev. Yes, Black Theology calls for the eradication of “white” people. For those that do not know this - educate yourself so you can see through the lies of this man. I don’t see anything honorable about this hypocrite!
forwarded to Glenn Beck for his collection.

Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinitys guiding principleswhat the church calls the Black Value System[Emphasis added]
Why should Reverend Wrights past as Muslim concern us?
First, Reverend Wrights hate sermons are virtually identical as those given by his good friend, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who followed in the footsteps of Malcolm X...
I clinched my teeth and listened to the whole thing. Did anybody hear him say he stopped to help the 8 year old girl with the bookbag? I musta missed it. Complaining about the girl was fine, but who was supposed to help her if not him? Couldn't he have slipped her a twenty?
Thanks, Fred Nerks.
MD, ping to article, and #14.
Now, james Carville, Wright is your garden variety “nut.”
I think you’ll like this one.
