The Middlesex County Democratic Organization has fired a paid canvasser who falsely claimed to be the assistant deputy director of Governor Corzines re-election campaign when arrested by East Rutherford police Friday night. < snip >
Silverstein also confirmed that the vehicle that Shih was driving when he was pulled over Friday night in East Rutherford was rented by the organization. He said he did not know whether Shih was in Bergen County on official MCDO business or on a personal errand.

Yeah right, I bet this guy was just who he said he was when he was being arrested.
I agree....I am hoping the NY Post is investigating and will also update their original reporting.
Yes, rented car and all!
I wouldn’t doubt that that is 100% possible! I’ve seen it happen personally. I knew someone who one day was a Media Director for a campaign, and just HOURS after they resigned the candidate claimed they were just a “website volunteer” (rather funny because the reporters the candidate was speaking to were the same people the media person had been speaking to for months on behalf of the campaign!).
If that IS the case here, I hope someone is able to prove who is the one lying - Shih, or the MCDO folks...
A Facebook page for a Jason Shih has been removed and his Tweets are protected.
The only time Democrats are telling the truth is when they are calling each other liars. So my money is the guy driving the company car.
