Hey, how did that six-figure RNC donation to the NRCC plus $85,000 to the New York GOP plus nearly half-million-dollar investment in advertising and other independent expenditures on behalf of radical leftis Dede Scozzafava work out?
She repaid the GOP by endorsing Democrat candidate Bill Owens. Some gratitude, eh?
“Since beginning my campaign, I have told you that this election is not about me; it’s about the people of this District,” Scozzafava wrote in an e-mail sent to supporters this afternoon.
“It is in this spirit that I am writing to let you know I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same.”
I repeat: One thing is guaranteed at the conclusion of the NY-23 special congressional election: The Beltway Republicans who endorsed radical leftist Dede Scozzafava are going to have indelible egg stains on their faces. And GOP establishment fund-raising organizations will be the poorer for it.

No one is surprised that the RINO withdrew, given the polls. BUT, I think the REAL LOSER in this election will be Newt. He supported the RINO and the party line. He appeared on Fox and supported her and wrote in support of her on his website. I don’t know how serious Gingrich is about running for president, but this very bright and articulate conservative has now unforgivably and unforgettably aligned himself with the RINOs! I haven’t sent money to the RNC in many years. Only to individual candidates.
I don’t think I’ll ever send the RNC another dime. Even if they do “get it” (which they won’t), since their ability to “get it” and “keep it” will always be suspect in my mind.
Newt is so out of touch it proves he is not that smart. If he was smart he would have paid more attention to the Tea Party movement and the outrage of the base.
