There are millions of Democrats who are more conservative than most GOP officeholders.
The word was out on Hoffman vs Scozzafava. I'm glad to have Palin’s comments made public, but I do not think she made all the difference. To say that is to dismiss everyone who had flocked to Hoffman prior to or since her comments, as if they wouldn't have done it without her.
That isn't true. Did she bring in more people? I believe so, but not to the point you're trying to make it out to be.
Rabs, You need to stop reading everything McMaverick and his slut daughter advocate, looks like some of it is starting to rub off on you...
And so was alcohol, on the Federal level, at one point in time.
Perversion "homo marriage"
The only reason "homosexual marriage" is even an issue is because Government started regulating marriage.
queer school curriculum enforced by appointed sodomite commie czars
The only reason such a curriculum is even an issue is because of a thing called "public education"!
pornographer...Flag desecration...
Did you actually read what I said at post 618?
What you call "perversions" are merely symptoms of a generalized moral degradation within American society, and the only way that their common root cause can be remedied is through a genuine, full-on transformation of American society through a revitalization of the Church and the family. Passing more legislation does absolutely nothing to address this root cause, as an immoral people will disregard laws in which they, on the whole, have no confidence or faith, and as such, the only means of enforcing said laws is through a forceful, coercive "nanny state" that is wholly incompatible with every notion of freedom and liberty out there. In fact, given the propensity of our present Government to enact policies that achieve the opposite of what is intended (a thing called "unintended consequences" or "blowback"), creating a bigger and more powerful Government--particularly at the Federal level--fails to return American to its traditional, foundational values and in fact creates more opportunities for leftists, "progressives" (a misnomer), and statists to hijack and steer American society into even more deviancy and depravity.
I want a free and a moral society, not just one that is one or the other. Don't think that I am endorsing libertine behavior, but I am endorsing the right of the individual to make that choice and, as such, to suffer the consequences of such a choice. You have the freedom to succeed and the freedom to fail; it's your choice as to which one you make, and it's your responsibility to reap what you sow. Creating a nanny state that tries to steer everyone to certain types of pre-defined outcomes, no matter whether those outcomes are "good" or "bad" (terms that can mean different things to different people), however, violates the premise that we must have a free society and rests upon the presumption that one person knows better than another.
And if you think that any of the above words are McCainian in origin, you've got issues!
ALL OF the ideals are liberal leftist in origin and fully backed and enabled by libertarians and moderates. Only one generation back from me, My mother and father both attended school the same place they attended church, They, as I prayed in school in the sixties. I’ve watched this leftist trash evolve personally.
Without liberals and libertarians there would be none of this filth and disgusting ideals foist onto the populace as “liberty”.. That is a solid fact. Spin it however you want to, still wont change the facts.
And if I and many other small-l libertarians had our way, there would be no property taxes to pay to support public education for your family...so you could, if you wish, send your children to a school affiliated with your Church where they could do just that: pray in school.

That isn’t “libertarian” ideology, Its a basic core Conservative plank..
And yet conservatives lined up behind Bush, who enacted "No Child Left Behind"--which ran counter to this "conservative plank."
Haven't got a copy of the "pledge?" Nope. Just numerous biased witnesses and second-hand sources to his pledging to support the nominee.
No Conservative within at least 3 or 4 hundred miles of me here in Texas support very much of what the “bushes” “moderate” advocated. Only reason I’ve ever voted for Bush was the “RINO” was better than the alternative... You know me, I am sick to death of voting for the lesser of the two evils..
I’m so sick of it in fact I’ll never cast another vote for a liberal wolf in conservative clothes. I’m of the mind that we’ll have to let the stupidity of liberals moderates and libertarians run its course and watch this country crash and burn, then we Conservatives can clean up the mess and start over.
GOP leaders were outraged, especially since Mr. Hoffman, like other congressional hopefuls, had pledged to support the nominee. "He did say it repeatedly," said Sandra Corey, the former GOP chairwoman of Jefferson County. "And then all of a sudden, it's a no-go, like he hadn't understood her background, which is a falsehood. I would never, ever trust him."Naturally, the excuse Hoffman offered for violating his pledge was false.Mr. Hoffman says that during the selection process, he didn't realize that Ms. Scozzafava was as liberal as she is.

James T. Ellis, the state Republican Party's regional vice chairman for nine of the 11 counties in the 23rd District, organized the four meetings where the candidates made their case for the nomination. Mr. Ellis said Mr. Hoffman would "certainly" have known Ms. Scozzafava's positions on social and fiscal issues after the four meetings together."He heard as much as I heard," the vice chairman said.
There also were dozens of accounts in newspapers, on television and on the Internet detailing Ms. Scozzafava's opinion on issues on which the two rivals disagree, such as abortion rights and gay marriage.

“Mr. Hoffman says that during the selection process, he didn’t realize that Ms. Scozzafava was as liberal as she is.”
That excuse collapsed at a touch.
I haven’t switched yet.
However, I am tired of voting against candidates. The Republican party does not represent my views anymore. The are only marginally better than the Democrats. I am going to start voting for the candidate I like best and the chips can fall where they may.
John McCain. That’s the best they could do last election. Versus Romney. Not much of a choice in the primaries.
Your credibility collapsed in a fantastic implosion of paper mache and latex.
I see you like to make up "facts"....like twisting Zapata's words and putting them into George Washington's mouth.
Also sad that youcan't see the difference between supporting something and supporting the right to something.
Another leftist libertarian brainfart..
yawn.....
run along and smoke your dope and sodomize yourself out of existence..
