We all know that the US has lost 4.5 million jobs under President Obama's march to Socialism. But what about the aborted jobs?
Here's an example. A local owner of a convenience store I know here in Portland was going to expand his hours and start offering pizza. He figured he'd hire 6 new employees to fill the time. However, when the minimum wage was increased, he had to increase every employee's wages, and it became cost prohibitive to expand. He stayed put, and 6 new jobs were "aborted."
You can provide your own examples here, but we need to start to account for all the jobs never created because of the dope in the W.H.
Dont you think that might be what he wanted all along. His goal is to bring this country to its knees. In the end, those who refuse to kneel will make one hell of a splash for future historians to explore.
The “aborted jobs” problem is huge, but it’s not remotely fair to blame President Obama for more than a tiny percentage of them. The problem of government regulation of business activities has been growing by leaps and bounds for several decades now. Republicans and Democrats at all levels, from the White House to counties and towns, have been contributing heavily. It hobbles everyone from people wanting to start up one-person self-employment ventures to huge corporations.
Want to start a little home business preparing healthy meals for home delivery in your local area? You’ll be out tens of thousands of dollars by the time you’re set up to meet all the state and local regulations. Virtually your entire kitchen will need to be replaced, you will need to attend government-approved training in food handling, you will need various permits that require filling out long forms and paying fees, you will need to have officials inspect your kitchen (and show how you will prevent your children from gaining access to the kitchen), you will need a new vehicle outfitted with code-compliant equipment for maintaining food temperature (even though you have no intention of delivering anywhere more than 15 minutes from your home), and on and on and on. Might as well just go on welfare or pick up an unemployment check.
He doesn’t care about the aborted. They’re not voting age.
Since January of this year, the U.S. Economy has hemmorraged on average 540,000 jobs a month. That's 5,400,000 jobs lost since the beginning of this year.
in November and December of 2008 immediately following Obama's election, the economy shed almost 1,300,000 jobsin the wake of the election, which brings the total closer to 6,700,000 jobs lost based on the data from the Bureau of Labor & Statistics.
The above does not count the jobs "aborted" under Obama, which I suspect is yet another 1.5-2mm jobs, but that's just a guess.
I'm with you on general government over-regulation and the expansion of the nanny state.
We have laid off about 50 postions of 240 employees. down to 190 and falling perhaps another 50 before the end of December. If Health care passes that figure might be another 50 since we don’t have any business to support current sales volume. I hope My Missouri and Kansas Folks are reading this. Claire McCaskill and Lacy Clay, Dennis Moore pay attention as you and the democratic party are killing American small business.
Great hope and change, Obama, you POS.
I agree with everything you said.
They cannot win without fraud.
They cannot win without bundlers.
They cannot win without bribes.
They cannot win without threats.
They cannot win without the enemedia.
They cannot win without ACORN
They cannot win without dead voters.
They cannot win without...on and on....
That’s more like the total that should be stated re: jobs lost to Obama and his comrades in Congress.
THIS is reason number one that Americans have ZERO confidence in the green shoots or the 3.5 GDP growth or any stock market jumps.
It is also REASON NUMBER ONE that Zero and Congress MUST be dumped out of office as soon as possible.
